yeah but we know what usually happens at organised online races. I mean take round 6 of the LMP series or Rome in the Tyre Challenge. Actually, Rome was so bad I am omitting it entirely from history.

But the tyre challenge was the worst race series ever created. And Round 6 lots of people were away. Neither of which is happening tonight ;)

the Reisbrennen video on their youtube channel is my favourite. The Ferrari F430, Ford GT, VW Scirocco ones are some of the best. Oh and the NSX extended version is just wow.

Oh and its not on their youtube channel as it wasn't done my Format67, just the guy that films them but it is a suggestion on all the videos and it is "Exotic Cars of Hong Kong"

Why is Monza cancelled? Any offical reason? Doesn't make sense to have no race while waiting for La Sarthe when we could fill that space with Monza...
 
Guess what? I found my Bentley in the UCD today. I didn't have enough, so I sold every car I could and did two seasonal events to get the money up. I bought it, but had to let the Oreca PlaystationR8 go. Hate when they have two awesome LMP's in the same UCD cycle :(

Looks terrible... yes if you are not playing and just watching someone athough they are working on an FPS patch...

and its not really thay unrealistic..
 
Nooo, changing the supsension settings to gain 4 seconds per lap isn't unrealistic, Adam. Have you ever driven an F1 car? Then how do you know if the physics are realistic? ;)

No games for PS3 are too close to realism, if you want realism you should get a PC sim game... what are they called, iRace, rFactor, GTR? Idk, something like that.

GT5 is the closest you get to reality on the PS3, but that doesn't mean it's super-close to reality - I highly doubt that the Enzo, as an example, is very realistic in GT5.

It's been really quiet in here for a moment, but it's no surprise that it's golfer, Jamman and Adam's F1 talks that has dominated this thread. May I suggest you use the F1 2010 & 2011 sectin on the GTP forums? I think they maybe have a general talks thread, or something similar to that.

If next race is the 15th I can probably be there, but not this Saturday.

Multiple classes would be a mess, golfer... just look at the mess we can get just by having some of the series' guys in the series, both fast and slow ones.

Terrible argument? Either it looks good or it doesn't and fact seems to be that the game is several years behind GT5's graphics and they should even be worse than the previous F1 game?! How can they sleep at night, :yuck:
 
Their is a patch to fix ps3 issues...
And if you haven't driven an f1 car how do you know its not realistic..

I hope the interior view for all standard cars includes a generic open-top LMP cockpit. That would improve the GTP Le Mans experience hugely.

Also the replay rewind and fast-forward means that highlight packages can easily be made from races now, and also the race stewards can just watch specific events instead of the entire replay now.

The relay ff/rw its what I'm looking forward to the most. Rest is meh..

User controlled weather? Sounds....... interesting.

I hate to break it to you but GT5 graphics aren't great. The 200 or so premium cars are the only good things. The standards don't look great. The detail and surroundings of the tracks (which you can compare, Monza, Nurburgring and Suzuka) look a lot better on F1. And considering CM had about a fifth of the production time PD had.... ;)

The GTPlanet main page has some screenshots. It has options like weather changeability, weather at start, surface water on track etc etc. I think we will all need to make a descision on what these settings will be because high changeability means it will be more likely to rain yet no one wants 100 changeability.

The screenshots on the main page have a Pesky interior (Drum and Bombe's one) and it is a very basic interior but an interior non the less. It also has one for the Caterham. My bet is that open top cars will have more detailed interiors while closed cars will have the silouhette cockpit


And is anyone going to buy the DLCs? I will buy the track pack for sure and highly likely the race car pack. As for the racing gear? Well if it is cool outfits, I will look at the price.

And PD need to sort their calender out. October 11th is not the third week of October.

I just hate the fact that I was misled into buying their game by screenshots of COMPLETELY DIFFERENT graphics than what are actually in the game. It was false advertising plain and simple.

The game is visually a total and complete mess, and the graphics on GT5 are in a different stratosphere entirely. The fact that you dared to suggest that F1 has better graphics in any situation whatsoever is PROOF that you're trolling.

When I first went on track in F1 2011 I was literally SHOCKED at how terrible it looked. I had NASCAR games for PS2 that looked BETTER.

Yeah LMP cars will now all have interiors...I am so stoked for Le Mans!!!!!

This also means we will finally be able to drive the Polyphony Formula GT from the cockpit position.

I would also like to dig deeper into the enhanced online room settings for race hosts. Maybe finally we will be able to pick a group of cars from our garage that people who join the room have to select from.

False advertising or maybe those screenshots were from PC? :banghead: Be aware a company (if making the game on PC) will probably try and show it off on PC to show it off in it's best light. Only sense and hardly false advertising.

And lol at the trolling comment. Especially so after then saying a PS2 game looks better than the current gen. Classic :lol:

I hope it is the slightly more detailed version like in the Pesky and the Caterham. Oh and hoepfully, but doubtfully, the range restriction with standard car photographs will be obliterated.

I've never driven an F1 car, but if the game was realistic only few people would be able to drive the machine - that's what I've learned from watching tv about them :D

The spec 2.0 details looks kind of epic, but as with all information you should not hype it too much. I'll wait and see. I hope it'll be good and make me able to go back to GT5 again. The mid-race save is first on my wish list, I want to do the 24hr Le Mans in a Zonda R without my PS3 getting toasted.
