If the race car pack has the r18 and or the updated 908 I'll crap myself. I think our series could use some new blood as far as cars go. We need more team rivalries. The ythree car team system should help with that too.

This Saturday we should have a race and everyone show. If BK is unavailable we can do Monza, or if not for points we could do a couple half length races. Let me know what youthink. And I'm not trying to bicker with anyone, I'm just really dissatisfied with spending 60 bucks on a game that was not what I had hoped at alllll.

I really love the 2010 M&M's car in GT5 and can't wait to get the new one!

I love NASCAR too. It is soo under rater. Actually, in A-spec, forced ASM wrecks it.

Ohmahgawd, 2.0 made me not want Forza anymore. Also, I hope race car pack includes karts, and other classes of le mans cars. Pumped!

GT5 made me not want an Xbox in the first place, however Race Driver GRID is still my most-used game on the shelf... scary, but true...
 
Guys does anyone know what the closest helmet to this is on GT5?

I love it. I love most of Vettels helmet designs but this one takes the cake. I want to get as close as I can to it on GT5. Any help appreciated :)

I wish F1 2011 made driver helmets avaliable to us.. Ant davidsons dosen't count

I've never driven an F1 car, but if the was realistic only few people would be able to drive the machine - that's what I've learned from watching tv about them :D

Not true... only a few would have the balls to drive it on the edge in real life. As we saw jake humphrey could drive the thing just not very well
 
So Jamman, you want a white helmet with lines round the top? Try asking in the marketplace for a full set of downforce helmets. They are a full one colour with lines at the top.

And bombe, I found out earlier in the week that GRID has had its online server shut down. Can you still play the game while signed in? It was a great game. Sadly online was full of rammers, I didn't have the skill to power past them (me in a DiRT3 RX race proves all) so I just ended up stuck in walls. When I was on for my first win, one guy sat in debris at the start line. End of lap 1 I was about 30s in lead and pulling away (I was fast in F3) and then the guy rams me and I total. What a ****. Still hate him now. I won eventually, mostly just in F3 where the cars are seen as harder to drive.

After I got used to GT5p I couldn't play GRID anymore. ANd when I found out how stupid the tracks are. I mean Le Mans?!!! The run from Mulsanne to Indianapolis is a highway, not a two way road. It is about 6 cars wide!!!


Oh and bombe, love how you talk about realism and play GRID. However fun (and identical engine noise) it is, the realism is far from there. Audi R10 has a top speed of 260mph, 30mph faster than all the other LMPs and due to no downforce modelling, the other LMPs have no chance. At Le Mans, the R10 has about 5s a lap at least. AN they lap in 3 min laps
 
You can play GRID, but not online. There's a GRID 2 coming out next year if Codies speak the truth.

I never said GRID was realistic, I drove around Nürburgring GP/F faster than the F1 cars do IRL in the Lacetti touring car, but it was fun as hell sometimes.

Agreed, there were more idiots than there was fair guys, but I met a lot of good clean guys too, and then we had a tendency to end up in the same room. In the end I raced without collisions (!), basically a time trial with slipstream where you are begging that there is not too much lag. But a race where 10 guys finish within 1 second is a nailbiter, loved it!

My first win was my second race, I ended up with having 48% wins out of 5,000+ races .... haven't really played it since I started in whatever this school is called (college / high school / upper secondary school, Idk which one is correct to use). I had a lot of spare time as a 9th and 8th grader :D

GT5 is better in many ways, if I could just have it work online I would have used it much more, it's really frustrating, but there seems to be no solution to my problem, so I'll have to do with this series once a week :(
 
So excited but if we do hold a small event on Saturday, I'll be out getting shot in the foot by paintballs before plunging into cold water with people screaming in my ear to go faster. :p
 
I have no idea what that meant aqua... I have to choose a wheel for La Sarthe... trusty DFGT or shiny new Fanatec with epic pedals.. hmmm.

Fanatec suck. I drove one with F1 2011 at gamesfest and the forcefeedback was, well, it wasn't
 
fanatec what?? and if it was on F1 then i don't think you can judge it on that, GT5 and FM4 is what i will be reviewing on mainly although F1 and dirt will be used

it was grey and the buttons were just lights behind some grey
 
I've only ever driven my Fanatec Carrera, and I think the FFB is weak.... I heard other people complaining and figured it was the game. On PC live for speed it was strong and felt great. G25/G27 get support with Spec 2.0, hope fanatecs do as well..
 
Brilliant news. Spec 2 is brilliant. Can't wait to see my GT-One's interior. Also, perhaps the Audi R18 is part of one of the car packs.
