Update to make BK jealous.. my review wheel is here tommorow :p

Can't make me jealous because I can just buy one, which I will. CSW & CSP- FTW!!

No official race this weekend since a lot of people won't be able to make it. La Sarthe will take place on Oct 15.

page 100 and we have done 5 races. So we have made 20 pages per official race which is equal to a staggering 400 posts per official race. Well done guys.

EDIT: It will be 400 posts per official race once this page is full

Some bad news from Italy. If you live there, then you won't be getting the track pack as they mistranslated it when announcing the Spec 2.0 and DLC. Instead, you will be getting the truck pack. This actually happened.

Btw, Jamm, have I really psoted only 288 times? I could of sworn it was more.

It's hilarious how fast the GT One is. Anyone who doesn't have one, buy one from the OCD, and put Bombe's tune in it from the Tuning thread. 3'24's at La Sarthe @ 600 hp...... for real?

Its not the GT-ONE. It is the fact that F1 2011 has inadverntantly made you epic.

No, it's the GT-ONE. I'm new to these LMP's and I hit 1:33.2 yesterday @Monza race trim with no draft. It's hitting 350kmh on LaSarthe before the 1st chicane. The 787 hits 341kmh if lucky.

The GT-ONE is dominating everything at La Sarthe, we all knew that right from the start. I think I said earlier that it could have used restriction for that particular race in order to keep the other cars competitive.

But the #1 rule at La Sarthe is obviously: don't let Jamman get a gap or we're screwed :D

he'll still have trouble with me

Don't give restriction to the GT-ONE at Le Mans. Its like giving McLaren a power and weight restriction so that they aren't as fast in a straight line at high speed tracks. Your just penalising them at a track where their car is suited. Same here. Me and Jamm chose the GT-ONE for its traction and straight line speed. The speed however doesn't become a factor until you get to Le Mans though so you can't penalise it purely on the basis that the car suits the track better than the others. We balance the cars for the entire season, not each individual race.

The Toyota is fastd everywhere. Any straight away it pulls out. The Bentley can maybe match it, but it was penalised with 60kg. It's almost unfair, maybe success balast should be considered if its like that. Not condoning it though.

This is a bit like the rain debate. The toyota's pretty fast and it's in the hands of 3 reasonably strong drivers. Deal with it and quit complaining lol ;)

Also, in other news, I won my debut race in PRL (Precision Racing league. Check it out in my sig) Got pole by 1.4 seconds with a Vettel style lap (:p) but the race was intense and I had much worse race pace compared with a lot of the others. But luckily it was a fairly manic race which then favoured me. With SC's and a downpour at the end when I was on primes :scared: Was all over the place and won by a few car lengths just holding off the guy on inters who had been closing me down at 3 seconds a lap. Great racing :)

I know many of you won't care but I am very pleased with myself after one of the toughest races I've ever done on any racing game.

.

Not complaining, it's fun as hell to drive. But yea, it's the best LMP, faster than the R8 01 I think

No it's not ;)
The R8 is probably a little faster --> it's MUCH easier to drive (handling) + its tyres lasts longer. Lower top speed, but it'll make it up in the other secctions of the track. The Bentley is very close to the R8 in performance on some tracks, not all, hence the weight ballast.

The GT-ONE could have used 20-35kg IMO, but I've been outvoted everytime, so I'll leave the subject.

No car is faster than the Audi R8 01, which is why it's banned from the series.

I honestly think we should bring back the R8 2001, and just ballast it until the times are similar to the other cars.

why all the hate towards rain? if you suck in it, practice some. Rain races are like 85% driver skill 15% car set-up. A race in the rain would be much more of a close competition if you guys would put some practice into it or at least try - instead of 3 cars taking off and the rest of the field spinning around into walls every 2 corners.

BK, as usual, speaks truth. Also, if you think DS3 is an advantage in the rain, then practice and use that. Personally I think it's mostly user, and not so much equipment.

GUYS Get the GSX-R/4 Concept in the OCD. It's soo fun to drive. We can mess around with it a bit tomorrow

Anyone up for a good old mess around on GT5 later?

Oh and I won't be able to race next weekend due to other arrangements that were made today. Sorry. If you started early (say a 5pm race start, 1pm USA) then I would be able to but if not then its a no.

Well it's definitely faster @ La Sarthe. Now stop polluting the thread with huge pics, thanks.
