Who isn't going to be able to race this weekend, I would like to finish rogers championship this weekened at La Sarthe,

Spa looks pretty good, but Tissimo's statement is true - long wait crappy update. #PD
 
Well just ran a 39 lap race at Nurb GP/F with my 700hp BMW v12. The revised tire grip based in temp is awesome! Cold tires its greasy, and nearly no grip then gradually comes in, 2 laps in they're fully up to temp and gripping hard. I didn't have much experience with the weak draft, but the little I did seems much better. Great changes, finally feels like it should!

The replay rewind/fast forward is rubbish. It skips ahead 20 seconds at a time...seriously PD is it that hard to make something that codemasters has been using since like 2007?

Its actually based on the time of the race. My 1:10 race jumps about 2 and a half minutes.
 
I'm really excited for Spa! The week after the dlc comes out, we should have an official season 5 test at spa followed by a half length preseason race somewhere else. With all the new teams it will be fun.

We should start thinking about the season 5 schedule. I'm thinking 5 races is perfect, more than 5 and it starts to run long. Maybe, races at spa, Daytona, Laguna, nurb gp and la sarthe? We could do Tokyo as well. Maybe Indy instead of Laguna? Maybe even SSR5 again? That was a great race.

Wait till the 12th to start the new season! Going out of town and dont want to miss any of the season.. I can miss pre-season. Who wants to join Team Bimmer? Enjoy the nice fresh air and the nice view while racing for an hour ;)
 
I'll take the Toyota, that is if there's openings. I've always been a huge Toyota fan, I just never had the car or a tune. Now I have both.

Something F1 2011 achieved from release. It is great but the only problem is it now makes the 'undercut' for tyres useless :(
 
Uh, online the tires aren't as grippy during the first lap. This has been so since I can remember in GT5. I think it's just a little more pronounced now that spec 2 is here.

I dunno to be honest.. After coming from F1 2011 I couldn't control it, but eventually got it. I only ran a best of 1:43.6 at Nurb GP/F though (with 700hp), so not that fast. It's fun to drive though. I'll have to put seat time in the cars, would really like a front runner to win this season!

I finally got my puegeot super stable (before patch) but not sure if it's up to speed. Also got the C60 Hybride pretty stable (very minimal understeer), but was 1 second slow. Was fun to drive though as well.

By "rogers" championship I am assuming you got f'ed over by Auto Correct and meant "our championship"?

If so I can do la Sarthe this weekend, for sure.

that or BK is in a series run by Roger and he posted in the wrong place regarding asking the last race to be held somewhere else.
 
I'm getting internet installed right now, all brand new fiber optic from the street straight to the house.

I would like to finish S4 asap Unless tissue golfer and drum are going to be heart broken if they miss the race on Saturday. S5 will start as soon as we can download spa , ill have a new thread up in next couple of days for s5 and the night series S2.
 
I would like to get s5 underway... Can't we start it anyway and worst case scenario do spa last but I imagine it'll be out this next week if reports are correct
 
Spec 2.0 isn't as great as I was expecting to be honest. PD have absolutely failed in improving the things and going in to too much detail, in the things don't need improving. I mean all the weather stuff in lobbys is pointless for me personally. Why?!!?

If you race in this series and say the weather stuff is pointless, I wonder what you use for a brain, man.

GT5 has no visual indication of how wet the surface of the track is except for the tire spray. So how exactly is a meter that tells you how wet the track actually is while you're racing useless?

Like, of all the things, you pick one of the most useful things for this series :sly:

I was not underwhelmed nor overjoyed with Spec 2.0 because I had realistic expectations.

Some of the highest-demanded requests of the community were filled. Standard cars feel like they should be driven now, the LMP cars we drive every week have cockpit views now, we're getting Spa with weather, the tire heat is done really well now, the cars feel like they have more weight to them.

If you expected tracks for those 10-20 track logos on Polyphony's website you're honestly very naive.
 
to those i was in lobby with today, i spilled milk on my controller and ruined it, lol, that's why I disappeared.

That's the thing though. You pointed it out for me.

1) You can't tell how wet the track - when you leave surface water on the track visually appears bone dry and then you get heaps of spray. That's not a good thing.

2) Having a little meter is hardly what I wanted. Now we can find the absolutely ideal time to pit to the right tyre with no effort but to look at a meter. I want to see the track getting wetter and the grip being lost, and having to make a risky decision of when to go on to which tyres for myself.

What you and I may want and like may well be different. That's why each person has an opinion :)

Ah well, Spa with weather will be a blast, and I have to say cockpit view in the Formula Gran Turismo is bliss after playing the PS3 slide-show studdering mess that is F1 2011's graphics.
 
No I wont be heart broken. Lets get S5 going soon. Season to start Nov 12th though... :) pre seasons until then

Oh God this is getting ugly.

Lets all, myself most of all, stop the bickering between GT and F1, and just enjoy what we enjoy.

Mike, not talking to you here btw, just realizing how silly it all has been. I agree with you 100 percent :)

Hey all due respect to F1 2011 and SebFan, it is a great game that could have been remarkable if multiplatform development wasn't a huge big middle finger to Playstation 3 owners.

I will just never buy another multiplatform game from a series unplayed by me this console cycle without renting first.
