I never said 20 seconds on Sarthe. I said 20 on Nurburgring.

Why do you even care anyways? It doesn't matter.

Race the AI?

I think I'm still 3 seconds off pace on Sarthe. Assuming I can whittle down my sector times and keep them more consistent.

Need to rethink my transmission again I think... Rebuilding the engine screwed my old transmission completely over. Chassis maintenance made the stock settings feel really nice again. Settings I use got a bit more oversteering out of corners.

About 5 more suspension/lsd/etc... settings to try so far and then I'll mess with the transmission again. Then go back to messing with suspension etc.

But I've been losing good amounts through each sector.

I'd ask for lap/sector times but then I'd be a hypocrite.

My grandma passed away today, I'll be in Florida from Friday to Monday.... maybe Tissimo has an extra PS3, I'll be about 5 minutes from Melbourne haha.

I must say, Suzuka is an amazing track, but if I had to miss a race this season, it'd be Suzuka. I can't put laps together there in the dry.

Just keep working on it, you'll get there. In the meantime ignore everyone messing with you lol. Notice it was all team Audi drivers harassing you lol, not implying anything....

I know it's a lot of pages back, but Drum, that's a good video. One thing you might have missed is Paginas overtaking me with help from MikeH 👍

I had quite an eventful race as the world can now see LOL

Also, Amf if you watch the replay where we were racing and you spun, it shows you get sideways and overcorrect into me. Unfortunate but it happens.

Razor, if you know anyone else with a PS3 try and see if it has the same malfunction.

Considering the issues you've had with the PS3 - if another PS3 doesn't have that issue - get a new one. That's what I did, but it hurt to spend money on something I already had spent a lot of money on already :(

yeh i thought about buying a new ps3 but its goona be hard to part with my old school 80gig man :(. new ps3 look so cheap idk if i want those

Try getting the hoover out and hoover it ( actual suggestion) then clean all the ports on your tele and ps3 as well as the plug. Looks like there is an interference. Once thats done, check the settings on your tele

And Razor: The 80GB, is that one of the first PS3's? From what I've read more detailed games like Black Ops, GT5 etc kill them. Or.... they got slaughtered, I read somewhere (PS3 forums) about daily PS3 kills.

Also, if any of you followed the GTP forums when GT5 was released... there were tons of YLODs compared to now. Sony Strategy? Nobody knows.

yeh the ps3 i got was the 80 gig, bought it back in '07( still got the box) so yeh its pretty old. funny that u said the ylod, thats the first problem i had with my ps3 back in april, since then the replacement ps3 i got from sony been unable to read disc and now display problem. all the ps3s ive got from sony are all refurbished old school 80 gig ps3's. i guess they r all flawed....
 
There are deals for new ones for $200 I think now? Might be worth it, or try a third party repair shop. Theres a few local to me that say they can repair xbox and PS3s. I'm sure you'll be able to find one semi close.

Check your local Fry's or Best Buy. After sony stopped selling the phat's I remember seeing them still at Fry's. And for only around 250 at the time. Just buy a 40GB or something and replace the HDD with the one from your current PS3.

Also BermudaKid, I'll be on whenever. Probably going to spend the next couple hours testing suspension settings.

Well that's pretty good news for the Europeans as well (well the ones that like F1). Brazilian GP coverage cause of timezones is one of the few races on in the evening for us (along with Canada) which would've meant qualifying was right in the middle of the race, so not such a bad thing it's been postponed. I want to watch every second of the last race and of BBC's coverage in their last race as the sole broadcaster. End of an era. Then comes the Sky era :(

do they not have DVRs in europe................... iknow your internet is garbage over there. But you can always watch something 30 mins later than live.
 
We have sky plus.. much better. Pause rewind fast forward live tv. As well as record.

I'm not a sales man LOL

That's what I was gonna do, but that's my point. As the race is postponed I can watch it live :)

@AMF Yeah that's the only thing I like about Sky. The record/rewind/fast foward features are truly excellent. Especially as when I for example record say Top Gear on Dave half way through the show. It will go back in time and record the bit that's already been and gone. Plus you can then watch it on the planner as it's recorded 👍 Way above DVR's or whatever you yanks use :P

I would have skipped the race when I found out.. I hadn't checked the time but after thinking I remember LH championship was won when it was dark at home LOL

I agree it should be an off week, unfair on you yanks if we race plus I want to beat you again BK lol

plus sky plus box is crap, its the worst pause, fast forward rewind box out there. I have a humax box now it the features are 10 times better plus can play catch up tv through it. I would recommend it if anyone doesn't want to pay for sky's outrageous prices, however I think I'm going to have to go back to it for the f1 lol
