Thanks bombe. I was watching an old replay of before season 1 just for fun before I said that. Epic battle for the win in the rain at la sarthe, me and bombe. I won but he got be back in the season 2 finale when bombe won and I held off a charging razor for second.

The La Sarthe one... it was my first race in the rain IIRC - at least it was online. It was also the first time I was fighting for the win. I don't have the replay though because I had to scrap the old PS3. Good times, but I like different tracks better than La Sarthe everytime :)
 
Wow... wooly thats impressive. I am not a fan of suzuka personally although it grows on me everytime i race it :D
 
I can do 2:35's ish in the wet with relative ease, assuming I don't spin out on the first corner of the lap. Every time I do the second braking I spin out.

I should be able to get them into the mid/high 2:2x's without too many problems but I have no idea. I think a clean lap if I did it now would be high 2:2x's.

Jamman is faster than mu in the wet, or at least he can be.

First time ever driving in the wet. Don't really like it D:
 
Don't expect MU to be posting too much. Or any alias accounts he makes. In fact, don't expect him to even see any of our posts because he has been banned, not va account but via IP address so GTPlanet is barred from him.

Also, my wheel stand took on significant porgress today. It can now be used. It is not as good as it will be when finished but I can hopefully race on Saturday :D

Plus, my TV was delivered today. Shame that my TV is my birthday/christmas present (they are a consecutive days) so I won't be able to use it for a month. Except with Christmas Eve being busy and all, I will be celebrating my birthday in terms of presents and stuff a week early so December the 17th, I begin HD, 32" and 3D gaming. Oh and I can watch TV on it too.

EDIT: Wooly51 (guy earlier in the thread) can do 1:42's in a Minolta at Suzuka :eek: Even I was lost for an answer :dunce:

I remember when the Minolta was fast.:( 1:29's on Daytona Road with 680 BHP and handled like an overpowered go-kart with almost no drawbacks to it.
 
The mods aren't very funny around here -.-

Also, MU made an account insulting the mod guys dad. That explains line one.

The Sauber C9 really is underated. I managed a 1:44.4 at Suzuka with a stock setup with it. With a good setup it's easy 43's 👍

Don't remind me of that 10 lapper, I had it, but because I wanted to give Adam room so that I wouldn't run him off we both went soooo slow and you just overtook us... even though, Adam claimed that I tried to run him off, lol, Tom even watched the race and defended me :sly:

But why do everyone have to mention the b***h fight between MU and the mods all the time... let it go and behave properly. I don't care about mods, but all the off-topic and idiot comments in this thread are annoying to all of us in the series too... not just the mods.

Suzuka is going to be fun. It's a hard track and it has always provided some good action. Unfortunately, the following couple of rounds are going to be without a part of me as I will be thinking studies all the time.
 
Moderating is not an easy job, so I have a lot of sympathy for them.

The mods are "tough" here because posters like you keep bugging them and prodding them to get a reaction, like you tried to do by posting that screenshot that your buddy buddy (now banned) sent you. Posting content from a banned member would get your a warning or suspension in a lot of forums.

If you keep dragging this thread off-topic and poisoning the well of good-willed discussion then I will keep reporting your off-topic content. The discussion around here used to be great for everyone and now you, Aqua, and to a lessor extent, Seb, have dragged it down into nonsense interspersed with the odd useful insight from Bombe or Drum.

The C9 is a beauuuuuuuuuuuuuu-ti-ful laaaaaaaa-dy. Just treat her with respect and she'll do you right. I wish my internet and apartment situation hadn't been in flux last season or I would have loved to run that car in every race.
 
I was thinking about changing to it, but no one wanted to use it. So i went with the Bentley again for teams sake. But if it's going to be just me in the Bentley, I'm about to quit racing it. Spec 2 did it more harm than good. Plus it still has 60kg of ballast and 10 less hp than any other car out there. I also use a ds3 so it's hard to keep consistency especially since my controller is partially broken. Maybe i'll get a wheel for the holidays! Probably not. So if anyone wants to partner me in the Sauber, I'm going to give it a go, screw points. I'm mostly racing for fun. So Bermuda- I'm making the switch.

A switch to Audi would make good sense as you would actually get a team mate there. I think Jamman is lonely, just like you ;)

If nobody wanted the Sauber before season start I doubt anyone would like to switch to it now. It's also very hard to drive it succesfully, at least that's my experience. As soon as the tires are worn it's a pest.

All I will say was I only argued if I felt what happened was wrong and unfair (like Sarthe in season 4) and the others were light-hearted posts. The thing with Hofstee would of never happened had he stated that the 20 second difference was a lap with a wheel with no mistakes and a lap with a controller with a few mistakes.

Pretty simple eh? Or am I not allowed to complain?

Well, good luck people at Suzuka on the 5th, very good track.

P.S I personally find the moderators around here too tough but that's my opinion, others will think differently.

P.S.S Wow, just heard a (true) story that someone who was dyslexic and can't spell very well, still got points even though they replied back saying they were dyslexic? That is seriously unjustified especially as whoever the mod was then went on to say "well google words you have trouble with, otherwise we have to suffer from not knowing what you mean". Sorry but that is totally wrong and blatantly rude.

Well said Mike. Moderatiing if very tough job, expecially on a forum this size where so many users show so much disregard for the AUP. Albeit, the size of the forum means friendships develop and thus they tend to chat about other things and go off topic alot but yeah, moderating is a very tough job. Although, sometimes, the moderators show a sense of humour that is a bit meh. E.g. MUs first ban and the reason for it on the banned user log. ANd Jamman getting an infraction for calling the mods mighty and powerful and that we shouldn't wrong them.

Just watched the Season 3 Suzuka race... Mod allmighty, what a race.
It's easy to see that it was my first race with the wheel. I remember I was so exhausted and started to make a lot of stupid mistakes at the end going from 3rd to 6th. That's never going to happen again, just so you know, lol.

Also came to think of this: since that race Jamman changed, didn't he? Back then he was possible to keep up with in his GT-ONE, now it's not... damn. Good times, I want to go back there, lol.
