my miss has a friend round at mo, hopefully she gone within an hour so I can join in
 
It's my birthday! :) Wonder what GT5 has in store for me.


I'll try to be on whenever you guys are on, but until then, F1 2011 will be played!

As much as I want to call Paginas a lieing homme at his observation, he is right. Suzuka is forecasted frequent showers throughout the day.

lol I think in the afternoon it stops but starts back up in th evening which is when we will be racing well late sat early morning Japan time

I think this series needs a reboot. I know i have been slacking since the end of S3 .......

any ideas to help gain more interest

We already have enough interest, I think. Sure, we don't always have a full lobby with several reserve drivers, but we have more than enough to have a good time.

Was playing with bk for a bit today. Feeling a bit more confident about Suzuka now, except that the car either loses the tail or understeers out of Dunlop. I'm losing some time having to drive gingerly out of there, but i'm expecting 42's on race day, if it stays dry. I manage to gain a fair amount of time than the average player through the Degner curves, but I occasionally pushed too hard going in, and lost it. You can only just brush the darker rumbles on the outside of the corner, too much and you lose the back end.
 
42s are out of my reach, but maybe a high 43. I'll be on tomorrow to practice some more. Did 3 laps today, and got a best of 44.1.. so getting there. Car is twitchy compared to the Viper GTS-R I run in another series so will take a bit to get use to.. Though it is fun and easy to powerslide. Not so good for tire strategy though, LOL.
 
Yeah, I drove that V12 already. Doesn't handle bad, really, but the rear is incredibly loose. Something that could be tuned to perfection, but by a tuning genius, which I am not. Digg the cockpit view on it, though. I wouldn't mind driving that car with you guys, but the GT-One just can't be left alone, especially with Jamman taking pole and win after pole and win. Someone has to challenge him! And it's probably not going to be me, because chances are I won't show up. Exams begin on Monday up until the 15th.

Also, it's essential to get clean air into 130R. With clean air, I can take it flat out, but without it, even if you lift, you're in serious danger of losing it on the astroturf. Learned that lesson from following bk into the corner.

Getting LKWTrailer in the series again is the best option :)

I'm picking up a work shift for a friend on Saturday that will conflict with Suzuka, so I guess this is my race to miss out of this season. :scared:

I love Suzuka, as well as the rain, too. Oh well.
 
Hey guys, I would like to attempt to race with you guys. I raced with some of you a couple of days ago and LMP are one of my favorite cars to drive. I really don't care which team you put me in, as I have almost all the LMP cars, missing two in general. Please PM me on here or PSN to let me know what car to race or something.

It would be great to see you! I'll wait for BermudaKid to post, or you might be able to PM him and he can let you know.

Good call on the open lobby nights, BK. I think they're good for recruiting new drivers. 👍
 
I have devised a working wheel set up!!!!!! I will be racing once more!!!!!!
It is only temporary but it works well. I am quite far from the screen (still less than 15" screen) so can't see small details but I can see braking markers etc so I can race and race well. Been doing alot of F1 2011. That is fun.

Good thing we're not at Daytona so you won't have to pick out a tiny guy in a yellow jacket in the crowd to use as your braking point for the backstretch chicane :sly:

Well, here's the car I want to drive: Peugeot 908 HDi FAP -- Team Oreca Matmut '10. I actually have no choice but to use this car at the moment, so I apologize if this affects the "team" aspect of this series. It's all I've got, and honestly, I just wanna race! Looking forward to Saturday!

yea its awful aint it....
my bmw tune doesnt really wear the tires too much, but right now i have tire squeal through every turn ! ! !

1/2 tires my time is off by 2 seconds

there are tiny guys in yellow jackets? My screen is so small that it is just a blur of red yellow and blue :)
