That was classic!!

Do we all remember Corrine? :p
Yeah

Infact a search for her (full) name on Google shows GTP as the first result.

I miss milefile. He destroyed everyone, noob or not.:dopey:

My huge argument with Young_Warrior in the Camaro thread was a whole lot of fun.:dunce:

Whatever happened to Gt Jugend and Axe Gaijin? Plus, where'd Doug go?

The New round of guess that car was good fun, back in the day.

What ever happened to Timmotheus? Wasn't he a classmate of yours, Sage?
Yup – friend of mine. He only stayed on GTP for a few months and left.

The time Famine got corrected by someone! :D

I forget who and what the correction was about, but reading it has stayed in my mind ever since.
It was me regarding the Hurcules being prop powered and not jet.

Then that makes two of us, as I do recall having to point out to Famine that the Clio V6 was indeed a Hot Hatch on the grounds that it did indeed have a hatchback.

A minor point, but you've got to get them when they crop up.

Perhaps we could make a club for it and it'll gradually grow as Famine becomes more senile

I honestly don't think it will ever have that many members, but nice idea.

The 'We corrected Famine and lived to tell the tale' club

:)

I correct Famine all the time. I have to edit his posts all over the place as they're littered with errors.

But... it doesn't! It has an engine cover - like a Ferrari F40...

Wow I thought I'd never see this one:

I'd suggest you learn to spell, for starters. It's "ne1", not "any1".

But really that's just me nitpicking, Doug. I commend you for the craft and attention to detail that went into that post!

:dopey:
I kinda miss it, though I've never experienced it. Weard huh? Yeah apparently it's possible. And although this is my 2nd account, I joined with my first account somewhere in Januari last year.

But this "Engine Cover" is almost upright, so it's not a much as cover as a barn door !.... Or perhaps a hatch since it's top hinged...

Hmmmm

Nope it has a plastic engine cover that fits over the engine (strange that) to help isolate the noise and a standard Clio hatchback at the rear.

Its the exact same panel as the standard car, its a pity that the Renaultsport site for the original V6 has been taken down as they actually described the car as a hatchback.

The difference between the F40 and the Clio V6 in this regard (trainspotter time) is that the F40 has an actual engine bay that is seperated from the main cabin. Therefore I would agree that the F40 cover is an engine cover, well actualy its a rear clam-shell as it also includes all the rear bodywork.

However the Clio V6 does not strictly speaking have a seperate engine bay, the engine occupies the rear of the cabin and the hatch access' the full cabin, therefore a hatchback and not just an engine cover.

By strict industry definition it opens into the passenger cabin and is a door, which again would make it a hatchback (3-door).

Incidentally I've just changed the Wikipedia article for the Clio V6. Read what it was like before... Whew!

Is that the general Wiki or GTP one?

Got a link (feeling lazy - LOL)

Edit - found it, oh that was wonderful, that was a great example of how Wiki is both good and bad. The old was very, very bad, the good is the new edit.

Kudos for the edit and re-write (+rep not that you need it)

Linky for all - go look at Famine's hard work

Anyone remember miata13b?
Ah, my fellow Floridian...he's working on Bimmers in the Orlando area.

We joked about starting a towing company in South Florida, since we had the nation's most dangerous* intersection.

* = It should read the nation's most dangerous (read: idiotic) drivers. Hence, dangerous intersections.
