GTP PSN tag?

Is this a special thing that you have to qualify for? Or is it just an open thing?

It also provides apparent recognition of your regulated presence on GTP. For me however, I don't want to loose most of my save files and data just to add that tag.

Like Patrick mentioned, to take part in the WRS (or other officially-sanctioned GTP events), you'll need a GTP_ PSN. However, there's still plenty of other community series that don't require this.

Having the tag means you understand and agree with the GTP Online Racing rules and regulations 👍. While it can be a pain to lose all of your progress, the Seasonals do make it a bit less painful to quickly rack up the level to buy nearly anything, and the necessary in-game funds. My personal trick? I just use my GTP_ login as my main GT5 save, though that's because I've had it since before GT5 released. You can always gift your GTP account the necessary car each week 👍

I have two accounts: Main and GTP. The main is my 98% save, and has every car. The GTP account is used for WRS offline and online events. WRS is perfect for me since I can't really commit to a weekly series and I can compete when available. It works for me and I actually spend more time on the GTP account than the main.

Anyone can start a GTP_ account, the site can't stop you, but I use it as a badge. I like to think if people see the tag they know they will get a clean race. To compete in the WRS you need it and have to run the qualifier to be accepted into the registry.
