I took the Chaser out for about an hour and while I finished about a half a car length behind my ghost multiple times (four or five), I wasn't able to best it. Given more time and patience, I still think it would be possible for me to reduce it by a tenth or two... but I have neither the time nor the patience! Another factor is that Sylar already posted his times and I think I may be able to secure a podium finish this week (so I'm fairly content).

I've rarely ever used Trial Mountain in the reverse direction, but I've come to really appreciate it's challenge. It has a good variety of turns, plenty of elevation changes and beautiful scenery (not important during races, but nice when viewing replays!).

So, without further ado...

Lotus Carlton: 1'40.581

Tom's X540 Chaser: 1'40.702

Good to have you pop in from time to time, Easy... don't be a stranger!
:)

I had to do something about that, had a 2 x 1 hour free time today so I ran 1 hour with the Lotus and then after dinner 1 hour with the Tom's ! I didn't really have the time to think to much about tuning but I turned off the TCS with the Carlton and tried something with tuning that made it "better" enough for the small hour I had with her ! I ran on default tuning with the Tom's except for the rear toe set to 0.

So here is my submission (finally !!!) :

- Lotus Carlton '90 : 1'41.518

w98ikj.jpg

- Tom's X540 CHASER '00 : 1'41.658

24fivwl.jpg

- Overall : 3'23.176

I'm not as competitive as I would like to be but at least I'm no longer a stranger ;) !

Great times you have guys 👍 ! And welcome to all new WTACers ;) !

See you next week !

Yeah good to see you again easyasashii and great time of 1.51.5xx in the Lotus with so little running time. It took me an entire week of running to get a lap like that.👍

Congratulations on those times Detroitbb that Lotus time is amazing. I think you could secure not just a podium but victory this week with those times:bowdown:

All the UCUS replays have been confirmed as clean (rpr101 and Sylar both came close with the Tom's X540 Chaser though!).

Confirmation of the UCES replays should be coming soon. After that, I'll tally everything up and post the results.

RJS - Dan is correct, you missed the deadline for this week's challenge - sorry! Hopefully you'll make the submission time for this current event (@ la Sarthe)!

Some observations from this past week's challenge...

Lion-Face was blazingly fast with the Tom's X540 Chaser. He, Sylar, and Dan360 had their best times with the Chaser. The rest of us were faster with the Lotus Carlton. As for myself, I was faster with the Tom's up until the last day of racing, when the Carlton finally took over the top spot. These two automobiles were fairly evenly matched on this course - that's something that doesn't happen too often.

easyasashii had good lines with both cars. Given more time, he would have possibly secured a podium finish. It was great to have him join us again!

Lion-Face increased his overall lead on 2nd place Sylar by another crucial point giving him 36 to Sylar's 34. It's quite likely that this current racing session (to 48 points) will over in two weeks. It'll be interesting to see if Lion-Face can hold his tenuous grip on first or if Sylar will make a late push to take the trophy.

rpr101 and red ice continued their (friendly) rivalry. Their combined times were only 0.054 seconds apart in this challenge and they are only separated by a single point in the overall standings. Keep it up, you two!

congratulations Detroitbb 👍 Thanks for the kind words and the vote of confidence ! The track is one of my favorites in both directions, that should explain why I was able to be in the 1'42 after only few laps and to shave off 1sec per car after one hour...

i already ran 5 laps with each car at la sarthe and already have decent laps... see you guys there :mischievous: ;)

hehehe. Happy to see a battle between guys at the bottom of the weekly charts. I guess what I'm gunning for before this 48pt session ends, is not to be last placed.
Thanks detroitbb for mentioning our continued efforts to stay alive on this marvelous WTAC events.
Congratulations to you sir!!!for winning GOLD!
and sir Lion Face and Sylar for being consistently podium finishers.
Hello to easyasashi! very impressive comeback.
