Think I'm done with Brands Hatch. According to my stats, I've done 460 miles there which is about the maximum I'd do (±50 miles) in a regular week. Came within a couple of hundredths of my target time, although as always, there's still a couple of tenths out there if I sum my best sectors

Will have a quick look back at Willow in the Megane just to be sure, but I think I'll be submitting tonight.

Good luck everyone 👍

And as always, when there is something official like GT Academy or $ prized events on Simraceway, i wait the last week to do something and will do just a couple of session each track (4 total).
Today spent 1 hour each event, tomorrow i'll try again 1h each to see if I improve a little.

The only time I did continous and exhausting practice (about 15 hours total), I won the middle-skill-range (700-900) event on Simraceway with the McLaren MP4-25 (the F1 2010 car) @ Silverstone GP, improving by 1.5-2 seconds from the first attempt and ending in an hypotetical 8th place on the higher-skill-range (900-1100) at +1.3 from the first of that one...
And considering I play on a notebook which go only with 15-25 unstable fps with all issues it takes...
Maybe I have to start do it more often :P

Submitted my replays, ran these combo's quite a bit more than I would in a usual week but I could see where I'd left a lot of time and couldn't string together good sector times. Ah well, good luck to all who are submitting and hope you get in the division you're aiming for.

I don't have my wheel setup as im using a DS3, but I'm wondering why no clutch is mandatory. Does it give an advantage?
One of the admins may give you a better answer but as I understand it, it would take too much time to determine if the clutch did or did not give an advantage so it was simpler to just say that it was not allowed.

I need a bit of help please!

I'm trying to register but I'm getting this error;

'We found errors with: bcjs37016-rply001.zip, bcjs37016-rply004.zip
It looks like you submitted a full replay, make sure to send your best LAP replay.

You can create a new conversation with the same body (which was correct), but with the correct replays.'

I've followed the instructions in the step-by-step video. I'm 100% sure that I'm uploading the best lap replay and not the full replay but it still not accepting my times.

Any suggestions?

Another user had a similar problem yesterday and his turned out to be OK. You may be in the same boat. Please try sending them in the same way you tried to send to the bot, but include
me, EDK, Vagabond, Speedy6543, and JoostBaksteen. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Yes. It was the first time I used my GTP account to play GT6 as I use my main account to play normally so the only files on that account are GT5 or GT6 files.

Edit: Thanks Gravitron, I'll send it on in a few minutes.

I've been a bad boy. I neglected the qualifier for at least the past week... it's hard to get back into the groove. Just spent an hour or two at Willow Springs, and finally gained 0.16s on my previous best lap (dated dec. 23rd!). I will probably spend most of the weekend trying to improve both combos and submit on Sunday night.

EDIT: but I finally finished my "career" a couple of days ago, so that's one distraction out of the way.

Well, I was going to submit tomorrow after I looked over the replays one last time.

I'm definitely done running at this point, and probably will be for a while. I was just doing some career mode on my non-GTP account and while trying to correct a spin, I heard something in the wheel snap loud enough for me to hear it even though I've got a headset on. I suspect it's one of the gears in the steering mechanism since there's a weird deadzone play in it now. Going to open the case up and see what the damage is before contacting Fanatec.

Ok, i improved my laptimes just i planned, but for the M3 GT (were i improved by 0.55) I have a question: This has to be considered clean or dirty?

h5p8.jpg

For the definition on the rules it is clean, but that shot showed the exit curb, what about the inside-corner one, the one of this photo? Is it still clean? (The corner is Westfield Bend)

P.S.: For ppl think that I would cut more a tenth later, I say that the car, right after this fotogram, bumped and kicked herself to the left, on the external line.
I hope i didn't broke any rule, of the thread and of the lap.

As long as two tires stay on the track surface. Unless a third tire went completely onto the concrete, it would be considered clean.

Just make sure those two left-side tires are *always* in contact with red-n-white. If they touch any of that green or concrete, it's dirty.

The angle's not the best, but it probably is clean. The question is though if this is the furthest over the front tire went.

I've re-watched the replay with external view and L1 (to see the car from the front) and the front-left tyre never leave the red-white side. Anyway, i post here 3 more photos, the first is the most "cutted" moment, the second is how the car continued 0.1 later and the third is a directly tyre image from almost the same moment of the first photo, to show you. Let me know what do you think:

Probably my luck was that the right side of the car (the one that actually cutted the turn) jumped/bumped a little when it took the curb, so the car slided a bit to the left instead of going into its hypotetical line, leaving both left tires on the "track".

I have a very silly question. If I won't make it until the end of given time, what then?
Will I be able to join WRS later?
So far I can upload both laps just to make it in the division in time, but I know they're rather slow (the Willow Springs is the problem, the other fine is quite fine).

Yes, but there may be a bit of a gap between this deadline and when the registry re-opens to allow for all of the submission in this round to be processed and categorised by the admin group.

I've added this bullet to the third post in the qualifier thread. I've been directly contacted by 2 members, who believe there is an advantage to be gained here. Simply said, don't do it.

  • Breaking boundary rules on the final corner of the lap prior to your best lap is strictly forbidden. We will make cursory checks of Start/Finish line speed on all replays, and will disqualify outliers. Those who are disqualified will not have a second chance at submission.

Hi, just submitted my lap times then read this. Is there anyway I can resubmit my Willow Springs time or my whole entry as I did this thinking it would be the norm. Thanks

PM on its way

I'm having trouble submitting my times.

I've followed the video guide and done it correctly, renamed the zip files as well. But it won't accept my entry.

It says;

We found errors with: *zip files*
The PSN in the replay does not match the PSN specified in the message body.

Help! :indiff:
