Final splits, and time submitted. I shall never attempt this event again.

T1: 0'15.722
T2: 0'24.949
T3: 0'21.164

3 hours this afternoon and this evening..... and i cannot get to grips with this combo. T4 to the line was woeful, but i honestly don't care. This broke me mentally.

Amen to that 👍

I'm not quite done torturing myself yet but not far off. I've got the pace (just) but can't carry it through a whole lap without crashing or spinning... the best one being throwing away a T3 of 1'01.583 by cutting the chicane too much. The whole rig nearly went out the window at that point.

All credit to my missus for her support and patience through this difficult time  She just brought me a cappucino with chocolate on the top... 👍

[Excuse bit] I prefer a car with a bit of oversteer and this Supra just seems to have buckets of understeer and seems almost impossible to get the rear to move [/Exuse bit]

+1

I must go and sob in the corner now.......:guilty: I'm fried...

Regarding split posting

Hey Guys,

The board has just been updated, i've pushed 2 changes through:

1) The split posting has changed so that we can just post the sector times without the need to calculate the splits.

The format stays exactly the same, but now you can just use the sector times. So now you can just post like this:

T1: 0'16.536
T2: 0'26.565
T3: 0'21.449

2) It is not needed to have the 'PSN: GTP_Joost' in your profile. The board now extracts your username from the post and cross references this with the official registry. So it's enough if your username is correct in the official registry thread.

Joost

Excellent, updated the Comprehensive Guide too.

Ahh, I see your problem here Chris, what you need is a short black, actually make that about 4 short blacks.
I'm sure you'll come back strong later in the week. 👍

Anyway new splits.

T1: 0'16.109
T2: 0'25.352
T3: 0'21.341

Made a real mess of the final sector here. :ouch:

Cheers Shaun.

What speeds do the top guys have over the final bump on the long straight between T2 and T3 ? I'm usually 237-238 just before it starts bouncing the revs.

Hehe, after 4 I'll eat my wheel if I don't get a clean lap in. I might take a day or two off this week and try again with a clear head... and 4 espressos please. :dopey:

That's the spirit. 👍

New splits:

T1 16.171
T2: 25.117
T3: 21.227

Thought I'd also share this image:

Spent a while checking I wasn't over the white line then belatedly noticed that there's quite a bit more tarmac on the other side of the line. Might save someone some time to know this. :)

T1: 16.171
T2: 25.177
T3: 21.227

lol yes it is off. And strangely enough, mine is set to off by default. If I choose Arcade Mode from the first first menu (the one with the weird white/Honda CR-Z background) and then choose Trial Mountain with the Supra, put Racing Medium and racing, this is ok?

BTW, I'm div 1. silver after all! :sly:

Indeed you are it' just that T1 is... :)

Do you all attack the final corner so brutally? I'm barely up on the curb in that corner, maybe I'm being to cautious.

Starting the lap I find im alot smoother, but finishing the lap im generally carrying ALOT more speed coming into that section and I can't really find a way around making it as smooth as the start without making it slower.

But that picture is definatley on the extreme end of things and since it was a invalid lap I guess its not the smartest route to take lol.

T1: 16.568
T2: 42.290
T3: 1'03.659

A bit of an improvement, but why is it posting my T2&3 times as sector times?

Okay, just spotted the change, so here goes:

T1: 16.568
T2: 25.722
T3: 21.369

T1: 16.219
T2: 25.925
T3: 21.331

Because the system has changed, Joost made it easier earlier on today for the lazy people. Just post your sector times.

Updated splits

T1: 16.187
T2: 25.654
T3: 21.407

@Vroomfondel, I know what you mean, been ruling out many laps as dirty because of that bit; although the extra tarmac doesn't show anywhere near as clearly in my replay.

New splits:

T1: 0'16.212
T2: 0'25.691
T3: 0'21.089

I'm having so much fun with this combo, really loving it. I'm getting faster each time out so I got that going for me. It can be hard when you have a dog that wants to obsessively lick your hands while driving.:grumpy:

In the areas that there is yellow paint and the white line, are we able to dive on the inside of the turn ( hard surface ) and use all the hard surface without hitting the hard wall on the inside or is crossing the white line the tail that wages the dog?

Hi guys,

Got my first run for this week in earlier, I really like this combo...so much more grip and much easier to get consistent lap times 👍

T1: 15.921
T2: 25.115
T3: 21.330

Use as much road as you can Earl.👍

Some improvement after dinner. Lost some time at the corner at end off the straight so hope i can improve a bit more.

T1: 15.674
T2: 25.016
T3: 20.796

I don't understand why anyone would sign up for a comp like this and cheat. There's no prize, and surely there's no satisfaction in winning by cheating.

Because at the end of the day you have a list of people visible to hundreds and people want to be at the top. Simple as that.

Knew I wasn't getting enough out of that left-hander before the tunnel. Good combo, looking at splits I can see where I'm losing out.

15.716
25.411
21.047

Toned down the FFB for next time, the G27 is just a little too strong at 10 at a bumpy track like this.

Indeed you are it' just that T1 is... :)

Jerome

I've matched at T1 and T2 occasionally, but that T3 is excellent and pretty much the target for all my best sectors peiced together :scared:

Well done Lapierre 👍
