Looks like I won't be getting any time with this combo. Still haven't been able to get the new PS3 setup yet.
 
Did "a few" laps yesterday, don't really like the car nor the track to be honest but missed WRS :p

Grand total of 18 laps done! Pathetic sector 2, went all over the road.... Few more laps later hopefully!

Questionable at the chicane, so this is not a likely to be a submission lap. Will need to run again as pedal is stuck on 10% throttle which started messing me up on slow turns. Potentially a .3 split but will take a small miracle as the talent is wearing thin :D

Low 6 best in T1, struggling with the second sector a bit particularly the braking for the hairpin and the right hander before the hairpin, which is just so bumpy and hard to turn at all....

No Dan, its Jaguar Racing Green Metallic (one of my favourites) with Carnival Metallic wheels - both Jaguar metallic paints. I'll send you a few chips of the green if you want some mate. :)

Oh, best 1st sector is now 37.376 and I followed with a 27.628 2nd sector.... then blew it straight into the sand at the Shuey S.
 
Thanks for the video Chris! I tried the 2nd setup, did better in sector 1 & worse in all the other sectors. Back end sliding out too much. Best 1st sector (38.1xx). Could not replicate that again though/
 
Hi all. Glad to have a quick run again. I now have a wheel which is nice but still getting the hang of it. The first sector of this is giving me a real hard time. But I will try to persist when I can. Splits as follows.

Tried quite a few laps this week with this combo, cannot reach 37.xxx in T1, best was 38.2xx IIRC. After watching the T1 Video of Chris (thanks as always for that), I was surprised that my driving line was almost the same as his, only that I'm always 1 second slower :scared:

Any tips for T1?
I'm trying to stay as close to the inside as possible and brake a little before the first marker. Using 1st gear and then shortshift to 2nd having passed the apex to control traction on the rear tyres. I think I'm doing turn 1 somehow wrong.

Had a PB T1 earlier with a .495.. Then promptly threw it away in the next corner.. :ouch:

Finally have time for GT5 :D

So far 0.5s slower with the G27 vs. DS3. Lacking consistency too, quite annoying. It used to be so easy! :lol:

This is just a stupid car.:sly:

The first sector isn't too bad. PB of .40X, 3rd sector I've already seen a .4XX.. but I'm lacking consistency in the second sector and with a PB of .7 high I'm lacking speed there as well.

Chris, you're doing fantastic. Unstoppable for me at the moment, and there's not a whole lot of time left.. considering I also want to improve on the C7 TT. The next WRS TT better be an awful combo.:p
Though I pretty much hate the handling of this car, when I start a WRS week I want to do well.

Wish it was just about the car :D. I tried some of my favourite cars at the Nordschleife couple days ago, I was either crashing all the time or doing laps that were 3-7s slower than my old lap times, it's getting extremely annoying :lol:.



3 tenths behind my DS3 time right now... :crazy:

No tips I can give will be any more help than my video - if you copy it exactly, you'll be doing 37.4s :sly:

Thanks Wes - its been a fair while since I've had the better of you in a combo. Is this my Christmas present? :cheers: I agree the car handling is bizarre. There is a temptation to over-drive it because of its horrible turn-in and mid-corner antics. :crazy:

Almost missed the chicane completely but still managed to scrape through with a 0.07 improvement. Still got a potential 0.2 left out there but its feeling a bit ragged.

It's all thanks to your tune. You got me into this one and I'll blame you if I don't get enough sleep the next couple days. :p:lol:

No new splits for now but adding all my best splits together gives me a theoretical best lap of .6 faster and that's what I'll be hunting. :D
