I lost quite a bit of time there on the final double chicane and am amazed by the lines I took on the first sector. I thought they were horrible, but the 'better' lines where no match for lines where I thought I was going too wide. I guess keeping momentum is the key. :dopey:

Btw, it is great fun trying to catch your ghost with a different car. :)

Had another go at this, and made good progress :) The more I drive this combo, the more I like it!

First session was all testing.

Some improvements, really shocking turn 1 if I do have to say so myself, I need to work on that sucker, If it was a drift trial, I would be getting a good score for turn 1, very sideways. :lol:

I've got an Integra Type R '04 in my garage, but it says it has 217 bhp...what's going on?
 
A slightly embarrassing 30mins of racing. Can't say I was all that into this one, just because it's a new track.

I love having the splits to work to. I saw was losing a full second between T1 and T2, so immediately went out and did a lap 0.8 faster than before, with all the improvement in those two turns. It's good to know what's possible. Still a bit messy and working on the line for turn 5, but getting there. The bus stop is immense fun and I've only outbraked myself a couple of times.

I got what I thought was a good lap, 2 seconds faster than my previous best but its still a lot slower than most. I know I am loosing a lot of time at the bus-stop, just need more time to practice.

My first try at this tonight...lots of room for improvement. It's nice to have a choice of cars this week. One of my favorite tracks. Last Spring, I was making a lot of money, online racing here.

Hate to nag, and maybe it wasn't clear (doesn't look it, actually).

According to my garage it has 217bhp, 1 more than the specs in this thread says. I haven't touched the quick tune for it, proved as I don't have that little green icon on the garage selection screen. Can I use it? Was a typo made in the OP, because surely it'll be the same for everyone?
 
I didn't make a typo this time.

And you are right.

The garage says 217 and the dealer 216 BHP.

Blame PD.

A lot better. 3 1/2 seconds off of T4, still got loads left.

I hate how at the start of a session I have to brake and turn it around to the bus stop, so I can get enough speed without doing what is effectively a parade lap.

After reading the results thread for the IFTC race at Daytona, I had a closer look at my replay for this week. Unfortunately, I have three wheels off at the first part of the bus stop, just like holl01 did in the IFTC race.

I had to use Jerry's great technique of driving backwards around the track to watch my ghost in order to see the off, but it's definitely there. (Why can't PD just give us slow-motion or snapshot capabilities? Checking replays gets worse with each version of GT. anyone else have fond memories of the data logger from GT3? :lol: ) Hopefully I'll get a chance to run another session on Sunday night... if not, good luck to everyone 👍

The moral of the story is, don't assume your run is clean just because you didn't get a penalty, the game is more forgiving than the Sphinx! :ouch:

When I'm not 100% if a lap is dirty or clean, I get in front of the TV with my camera. I record the part with the 'behind the car' view, and transfer it to my pc. There you can watch in slow motion as many times you want. 👍
