GTP_WRS Week 28 : Dodge Viper SRT 10 @ London Reverse

Gonna have my first go at this tonight. Looking at the splits I could well have my work cut out with this one, having not really driven the Viper and having driven London reverse even less!!

Absolutely love this combo, only had 2 sessions of 20 odd laps so far this week. Want moooorrre!!

The short lap helps the combo, would be hell at Suzuka. Agreed though, it is a good'un.

I just can't drive this track, i feel like i'm a pinball most of the time but I'm slowly learning.

Been hitting T2 41.2** and have been stuck for ages. Thanks holl01 for tip about 1st gear started hitting constant 41.2** then all of a sudden wow a had a lap that felt good to me and I'm happy to post :)

I think if you can hit the fast left good there is loads of time to be gained there

It's very apparent that London doesn't suit me, be it forward or reverse. I have yet to break 41 seconds at T2 after more than a hundred laps. It's a fun drive but very very slow. I seem to be fairly competitive to T1 but lose more than a second to almost everyone else to T2. I have no clue how I am supposed to take the double lefthander after T1.
 
Luxy updated, and again a popular combo with the 100th post achieved within 5 days 👍

My disliking this combo made me look at the events again, and after chopping away at the final bronze (now at 0) I am trying to gold the final silver ones: 2 in S, and 1 each in the C, B, and A events. Probably to laugh at but for me it's everytime a small victory if I better myself :cool:

Edit: I think I have reached or am very close to my limit. A 2 hour session tonight resulted in no improvement.

Right, seen where I'm losing the time in T2 and with a really bad double left still got better splits.

I won't be submitting at this rate, I still have no wheel and the store is really dicking me around, which kind of infuriates me.:scared: I don't like the feeling of wanting to act without caring for the consequence, but that's how these 🤬 are making me feel.👎
 
Quick 15 minute session yeilded a substantial improvment of

And a reasonable last corner to finish the lap, pretty happy with it;) time submitted.

Well it's in a box waiting to be replaced, I need it replaced because the wheel is going downhill fast, the pedals move losely side to side (something my first wheel, and other's I have spoken to, never did), and the squeaking noise it makes is getting worse all the time (something my first one DID do, but nobody else's does), which makes it sound like it's killing itself rapidly from the inside.👎 To think both of my wheels have had this problem, and I'm certainly not violent with them, it just doesn't say much for Logitech quality.👎
 
I am really struggling with this combo, so I might not submit either, there wouldn't be much point. Anyone got any tips they would like to share.

It's a good tip, but I can't get it to work, I just hit the walls when I try that. :banghead: I am losing time everywhere, there isn't just one thing that's wrong that's for sure.

Big car plus small track isn't fun. I probably run two clean laps out of every give, especially when pushing it. Drive slower, then slowly build up your speed, you will get used to the big car, eventually.

I know , and I'm blown away Aleast 50cm-100cm off every wall but 1 and turn3 is close but no touch. I've watched it almost as many laps I've done:lol:

try not to stay on the brakes while turning as it vastly compromises your turn in. I've found that getting off the brakes just before I turn in fully is yielding good results. You really also have to be gentle on the throttle, only give it the berries when the car is almost fully straight or there's going to be drama. I hope that helps to some degree.

Those are utterly magnificent splits mate, before Dan's "15 mins of fame" session, that would have put you clear at the top of the leaderboard. You are sure you're using the Viper SRT 10 and not the GTS right? :lol: Brilliant splits Zed, you should be proud 👍

I'm not using any as I think it'll slow the car down, and I'm not having any difficulty keeping it straight apart from at the fast S bend sometimes.

I think some of the guys are running TC at 2.
