I had a good session tonight, set several new PB's and quite often had put my ghost in the distance but not able to keep it together until the finish.
I'm not sure even if all the stars align I can put up any kind of challenge to you two. But hey finishing 3rd and having a shot of racking up the most miles this week will be a good showing for me. :dopey:
 
Nice improvements going on guys! 👍 I feel nowhere near safe with my lap time at the moment as I had a lap last night before sleep that was almost 1 second faster than my best save to T11 and stupidly stuffed it braking for the last little squiggle and went 3 wheels off :banghead: I promptly shut the game down in a bad mood and went to bed grumpy haha :lol:
I do have a clean banker but it's nowhere near the potential time this car can do at this track, Keep pushing guys and try not to let the back section make you nervous.. I tend to try a little mind persuasion trick on myself after the Karussell that my ghost is actually still .5 ahead of me and I need to go hell for leather to catch it haha.. It works sometimes :P

Ah now Eric, you're doing youself an injustice. There's nothing paltry about a 47.065 and there's very little between our current laps.

Anyway, the sectors only count if they're included in a full clean lap and with so many of them in one lap it's difficult to string them all together at maximum pace without leaving some time behind somewhere.

I never fully got back to where I left off last night (in terms of sector times) and just managed a small improvement before ending my session.
This lap is pretty sloppy in the middle section which made me more aggressive in the latter parts and I just happen to keep it on track. Hopefully it will come back to me quicker tonight and I can try to string together a lap near the top of my potential.

This was fun, got very ballsy in some sections (and almost payed for it). Been a while since I've done some proper lapping on the Nordschleife with a road car and I enjoyed that lot. Hoping to improve later on.

And just like that, found 2 more seconds. Thought I would struggle just with the first lap, but that was the one where I already improved on my best. Not sure where else to find some time but so far, its proving to be one of my top favorite combos. Its not like wrestlin' a 900+ HP Bull trying to throw you into the guardrail at every opportunity, but its still fun stuff 👍​

And yet another 2 seconds, this time with TCS set to 1. Not sure how I managed that, but I'm not complaining.

Thanks Ron. I had run a lap a little bit earlier which I would have been happy to submit but I found it was dirty when I went wide by a tiny margin. Anyway, this one came up reasonably soon after. It was .350 slower overall but it's clean. However, my worry is that I was untidy in the final turn and run up to the line so I not overly confident about holding the position.
 
Yeah, Bergwerk is one of the most crucial corners on the lap. With that long uphill, full throttle, section following it a lot of time can be gained or lost if you do or don't get it right. It's a 3rd gear turn and I find that it works best for me to brake in a nice straight line, release, let it roll and once you don't turn in too early you can take a bit of a leap of faith and get on the power hard and reasonably early and carry good speed up and away from there.
