If you have an image capturing thing on your computer, you should be able to just select the area you want to take a picture of. then you just need a image uploading site like tinypic.com or photobucket or something.

I hope my table is easy enough for you to use. I added the weight penalty table right before I sent it to you. Should make entering the penalties a lot faster.

I think SuperShouden should be able to give you instructions on how to do it.

I'm pretty old-school and untechnical myself. The only way I can think to do this is to open your spreadsheet and use the "Print Screen" function to capture an image of your screen to the clipboard on your PC. (It's usually Alt+Print Screen or Fn+Print Screen depending on your PC / Laptop type.)

Open Paint after doing this and do Ctrl+V to paste in the image as a bitmap.
Use the selection tool in paint to highlight the area you want to upload to and use Ctrl+C to copy the selection. Open a new Paint window with a small initial bitmap size and paste in the selection from the clipboard.
You should now have a bitmap that looks like the selection from the excel spreadsheet that you wish to post. Now save the file as: give it a name, and save as .jpg or .png file type onto your computer.
When you post a reply at underneath the reply box where you type your message you'll see the Image Upload option. Browse to the file you've just created, then click "host it!" to host the picture on imageshack.
Copy the direct link URL that it generates and paste in into your message surrounded by image tags (

There's probably far simpler ways to do this, as I'm sure many of our graphically adept younger members will soon point out for me!

Getting very annoyed now

Managed to update spreadsheet and import into MS Paint.
Increased size of image and saved as .jpeg
Uploaded to Photobucket, no problems.

However when img is inserted into thread - still bloody tiny, no change whatsoever !
Out of ideas , must be doing something wrong.

I will try again later, possibly capturing image using my USB capture device.
Hopefully it will work as I need to start Race thread asap.

This whole process has taken about 2 hours via dialup.
Grrrr.

If i cannot solve this soon perhaps Smallhorses could allow oldmodelt to fix up results table ?
Or if SS is able if you guys cannot.

Phew. I can't officially tell 'cause the results are so small, but it looks like I'm still treading water in GS. No way I'm winning the actual race, though...it's 100 miles, right?

In The GS Class looks like PB/SH/VIP/CAM/SAIL. In ST it was PB/CAM/VIP/OMT. 👍

Thanks for the help t 👍 info is quite correct.

I am slowly making progress, it appears photobucket is only uploading smaller versions of my original images.
I will use my Box.net site instead from now on.

just a suggestion and I'm not entirely sure how this would work, but, you can download the paperless printer which converts pages into jpg files. You could then put each table on a separate page in Word and just "print" it with the paperless printer. and in upload the images. Getting it to just print a single table would be a little tricky. But it's just a thought

I have sorted out the procedure for uploading spreadsheet extract
Many thanks to everyone for their help and support ( also for their patience 👍).

I suppose a few teething problems were to be expected following the change in management of this series.
I will now go and fix up the race thread.
