GTPDC WEEK 7: Drifting Away in the Past

Going back into the past ;):

Course: Grand Valley :)

Now for the instructions. It is imperative that you read this before you register:

There will be a racing and exhibition division. In those divisions, there will be categories: Professional and Amateur. To participate, here's what you need to do:
  1. Decide on what car, division, and category you want to compete in.
  2. PM me or post in this thread the name of the car, what division and category you want to compete in.
  3. Drift on Grand Valley. Make sure it's your best entry. Include the speedometer, steering wheel and the lap time for fairness.
  4. Create a video for your entry. *Do not put your name in your entry so the judges can judge the video to the best of their ability*
  5. Upload the video onto a FTP. If you don't know how to, PM or IM the judges. You can find their profile by clicking their name above their avatar.
  6. Wait for the results! It will take about 1-2 weeks to post the results, so please be patient! ;)

Deadline: Sunday, May 16th, 2004

UPDATE: NEW RULES - PLEASE READ !!!
  1. Every drifter who wants to compete in the GTPDC will have to PM the head judge what car they want to use and in what category and division they want to compete in.
  2. The entries that the competitors will turn in must not have their names in it. All they can have in their entries will be the background music and/or the title of the WEEK, or anything else but nothing that reveals who the drifter is.
  3. All of the competitors must include the speedometer, accelerator/brake meter, steering wheel and lap time so that the judges can know that the entry is fair. If this is not followed, then the drifter can be disqualified. This is to make sure no one has done some video editing to their entry to make their entry look better. Trust me, it has been done numerous times, even from the best drifters around.
  4. You can only tell the head judge of the competition the URL of your entry. You cannot tell anyone else of your entry to keep the competitor's entry secret until results are posted.

thio.. this is funny U posted in the gtpdc 6 forum that I wanted to do ss11 but we are doing valley.. haha o well.
 
My ZZII is crazy.. but it's run it's race I think, time for something else to step up to the plate. I'm thinking maybe my viper... but it's going to have such a nice role in the upcomming vid... hmmmm still not sure.
 
My suggestion is: use a car not known as a drifter (drifters--> Silvias, RX-7... etc). This time I'm using a Mercedes. ;)
 
how come so many ppl in the amateur comp!? i wanted 2 enter but now i have no chance, and the fact that i got no vid capture device

Woooot! Silviadrifter graciously donated a fresh new copy of GT3 to me, so I'll be submitting a lap. I'm thinking... probably in my Tom's Chaser. Go ahead and make me a judge too though if you want Thio. I don't care to compete I'm just happy to be playing again. ;)

There is quite the amount of talent in this GTPDC..... I hope I get a lap done in time........
