GTPDC WEEK 8: Drifting around a Dry Lake?

Hello and welcome to a new GTPDC! This course will be an interesting course to drift on, because the organizers planned to drift on Laguna Seca, backwards! This will be an interesting competition to kick off a new panel of judges and the system. I hope you enjoy the show and drift on ;)

We will have two divisions as usual: Professional and Amateur. Look below to see what the requirements are for the divisions:

Professional
  • HP Limit: 500hp
  • Suspension Mods: Open
  • Drivetrain Mods: Open
  • Competitors must drift a whole lap.
  • Competitors must be able to link drifts (3 minimum).

Amateur
  • HP Limit: Open
  • Suspension Mods: Open
  • Drivetrain Mods: Open
  • Competitors must drift thse corners: 1, 2, 3, 6, 7

Professional Division

Front Engine - Rear Wheel Drive

bah, i hate this course backwards. the hill is a pain in the ass (for the underpowered cars especially).

oh, and can we enter 2 categories?

(there should be a 900 category for those who have dfp in the next gtdc :sly:)

I Have A Question.. How would we save it if we are going backwards? Because Laguna Seca only goes one way.. does it not? Unless There Is A Laguna Seca 2.. Witch I'm prity sure there isn't.. Am I the only one who didn't unlock it?

We would have to record the initial replay right after we do the lap. Can't save it and view it later.

i found a way around it.. but it would take a little longer.. Starting.. trun around.. then do your dirifting.. Then after the finish line go back around once more.. maby you an use the lap going back for a video or something.. that way you can hook up you ps2 back to the computer if you monitor.. isn't that big..

Now that's some harsh words to say towards the competition and I'm sorry you feel that way.
If all else fails, you can always wait for the next comp... or if you're impatient... I'd be happy to participate in a private challenge seeing as I won't be participating in this event. ^_^
