I am really surprised how most or maybe even all GTplanet members are really tolerant. No real fanboyism here. Everyone is aware that GT5 has got a lot of flaws and it is always possible to discuss about them, without ending in some sort of flame wars.
As a veteran from the console wars, just imagine being in the console wars forum at gamefaqs... hell, back in those days when the PS3 and 360 were launched there was an open war there, people dying, cities burned to the ground, refugee camps for banned users. That wasn't fun, I can tell'ya
 
You're not for real, are you? The ammount of defensive fanboys here is unreal.
 
That is because when people start what you would call typical "fanboy" rants, they get banned pretty quickly and rightly so. We don't need all that rubbish the goes on, on other sites here at Gtplanet.

Go read some old news comments from a guy named "TokyoDrift". He commented in the news section September 2010 and before. He was a huge forza fanboy that caused huge flame wars on every news post with his comments. Thank god hes banned.

I'm not sure if they were all created in this forum because I have never seen them anywhere else. Anyone that refers to someone as a troll or a fanboy, or who writes /thread because they think their post is more important than anyone else's should give themselves an uppercut

For the love of God do not type "fan boy" into google image search. I just did it to find a funny picture and I found something I really did not want to see...

The amount of criticizers and whiners in recent months far outnumber the fanboys, in fact the ones that are being referred to as fanboys are really not fanboys they are just members who are sick of people constantly whining about the flaws the game has. If you want proof just look at all the threads that has been made in the past 2 months.

/Thread- Pretty sure it originated on 4Chan's Image Macro Boards. It was used to end threads to tell people that the thread was over and no discussion would take place anymore. Only times I see it on GTP are OP's ending a thread or a guy being sarcastic.

Now saying anyone who says these things is immature is just being ignorant and making a hasty generalization.

This, I feel. Fanboys are normally those who are militant against a competitor to their favourite product, but on GTP, fanboys are just normal GT players (hence why they're on a GT forum) who are sick to death of all the complaining. We get it, the game isn't perfect, we agree, but we don't need to hear about it every. single. day... As if experiencing the flaws for ourselves isn't enough!

A name used by someone with a strong dislike against something about a person who likes the said something.

Really, that's how it goes. Every single time. As long as there's "normal" conversation going on nobody gets called a fanboy, there are only people who like the game more (call them Type M) and people who like the game less (call them Type L). Then in comes someone who absolutely hates the game (call them Type H), one of Type M's disagrees with them and you can bet a reasonable amount of money the fanboy card will be played by Type H sooner or later. Usually sooner. in the resulting flame war Type H hands out a full pack of the fanboy cards in a short time frame while showing no signs whatsoever about being a full blown hater themselves because in their self-proclaimed factual opinion they're right, everyone else is wrong.

Thats right - here you have to be very very careful what you write - because when you don't write that "GT 5" is the greatest thing you have ever dreamed of and if you do not see "Kaz" as a Godlike creature you get warnings and get said you will be banned from the forum.

Also the word "fanboy" is not allowed here - only beeing rude against people that do not like GT5 is allowed !!

Also there are 1000.000.0000 Threads here that say "wow GT5 is soo great an we all pray to Kaz and PD"
But every thread that says "I have noticed a thing in GT5 that I do not like" - it will get closed within seconds....

HAHAHAHA... I'm sorry but when someone tells me not to do something my first instinct is to do that thing... however I wish I would have listened to your advice. That is some effed up stuff.... what the hell was that guy thinking? I mean sd card nipples? Give me a break... xd would have been so much better.
