Speedster502, I have that Aston Martin as well, got it a few months ago. It's quite a looker huh. I attended the Le Mans 2007 in person, it was a good race (though the 2008 Le Mans was even better!).

I just bought myself 2 models today for the first time in ~2 months or so.

Ferrari F2007 Kimi Raikkönen "China GP 200th Ferrari Win" - Hot Wheels 1:18
Ferrari 599 GTB "Polished Silver" - Hot Wheels Elite 1:18

I cannot wait for both of these models to arrive on my doorstep. I got them on sale from Replicarz, you guys should check out their site, they've got a sale going on.

Alright guys, i got 50 bucks to blow on my dad for Christmas, what diecast should i get him?

Edit: Ordered him a Maisto 350Z and me Dub City S10 to be converted to my truck.

1:18 Bugatti Veyron AutoART (Signature). Found it for a good price in the city today... so I decided to go ahead and buy it :D. Elsewhere, they are either out of stock, or AUD$300  .

I will take some good pictures of it later (if anybody is interested).

Nice Aston, Speedster502. :)

Yes please do, I would love to see the detail on that thing, especially the interior. :)

Are they limited edition models (like numbered)? oh and just out of interest, how much did you manage to get it for?

No worries. I'll try and take some interesting shots when the next bit of spare daylight comes. 👍

This model is a limited edition. Not exactly sure how much are produced in each colour, but this one has been stamped as #1804. The model also comes with a nifty little AUTOart magnifying glass, AUTOart cleaning cloth, and a small information booklet on the Veyron. :sly: I'll take a few pictures of those also.

This model from town cost me $200, which isn't so bad compared to the others listed on biante. I guess AUD$200 would add to about £2, considering how bad the exchange rate is going for Australia at the moment. 👍

well that would still add up to almost £130 to get it to the uk.

Since I've never been much for paying that kind of money for a model... is there a Veyron kit available anywhere? Or did AA get some kind of exclusive deal and lock down the market?

Not sure if any sort of Veyron kit is around... You might need to look around a bit.

Just posting to say I haven't forgotten about the pictures. That "next bit of spare daylight" still hasn't come yet. I always arrive home when it's dark, and photo's don't look too great then. 👎

AUTOart are the only people making the Veyron in 1:18 scale and 1:43 scale too I believe, so I don't think there's any other options I'm afraid.

I was gonna get the pearl white/blue Veyron about two months ago when it came out, but I decided to pass it due to the price ($160 US). I do in fact already have a Veyron, the blue version of the original AUTOart release. I got it about two years ago for ~$90. I will just hang on to that I suppose.

Maybe they will also do a Veyron convertable 1:18 which might be again limited to AUTOart or may go to another model manufacturer.

Finally, a few pictures. I don't think I closed the bonnet/hood on some of the pictures properly. There should be a smaller gap between the two panels.
Thanks for looking 👍

Wow stunning pics! 👍 Thanks Jacoja! They have really gone to town on the detail!

Oh and was wondering, how do you manage to keep your models so clean on an open shelf?

Robin.

Thanks very much! :)

Oh, I'm pretty lucky that my room doesn't get very dusty. I do clean them once every few weeks or so with a cleaning cloth, similar to the ones you clean glasses with (in the 2nd last picture).

Thank you about my collection. Now one of your best cars just got it today for $75 an Exoto 935. Yes it has some damage but still its nice. I'll have better pictures but its a Chirstmas present for my dad (even though he put it on layaway) but still I had to hurry and hide it.
