Aargh decisions, decisions. The 1:8 is 55.6 cm and the 1:100 is 4.45 cm in length and still looks like a 'proper' car. These although cute look too toy-ish.... so I'm not sure if I will go and find one.
Some e-bayers sell items for 2 dollars but charge a gazillion for postage,
How long is one of these and what brand - is it Micro Models. There seem to be many brands that fall in to this scale according to Wikipedia.
evilbay 40063337807 and 390766802882 are prime examples of rip offs.
All my micro models are original Micro Machines, I'm pretty much an expert on this field,
http://m2museum.com/Cars/Ferrari/Ferrari F40.htm
here you can see all the F40 models made by the company, I own the red deluxe one and the 'standard' red one with the emblem on the hood (from a special unopened package sold only here in Italy, 2 collections of Ferrari only, I will post the package(s) soon). The standard looks better, the material is more solid overall.
There are even micro minis but I think you can pass those one

A price for a brand new package goes from 10 to 50 USD (military are much more requested and expensive, very very detailed for that scale), depends on the seller and on how much the pack is rare, usually if the price is around 15 dollars is a good deal.
You should find that Ferrari for around 3/5 USD, the 'stock' price for an 'opened' Micro.
I can link two eBay profiles, reliable Micro Machines sellers if you need to buy the car.
Wish I hadn't got rid of/lost my Micro machines.
Remember having a race track for them which turned into an F1 race transporter.... The track was a NASCAR oval...
I have 3 race tracks and some playsets as well, when I was a child I loved them so much because they were extremely versatile, my old collection traveled from my home to my grandparents house so many times!
I've even built some cardboard tracks back then, 7/8 years ago.
