Ha, I wish, despite all models sitting in nearly dust free display cabinets they still gather dust. When they're taken out to be photographed I clean them. My eyes see a perfect model. BUT then you load the pics on the computer and zoom in for dusts spots. And sure enough the bloody computer works like the Hubble space thingy and it show gazzilion dust particles the naked eye cannot see. Then comes the laborious task of removing the dust spots in post processing. Finally a jpeg is generated and uploaded to GTP. And of course they would have to be near flawless to impress you guys.

So the secret is out ;-)

But really, that is not really a bad secret, is it? It just means that you care about your cars so much that you will go to the most extreme lenghts to keep them in a pristine condition for our eyes to be feasted. As far as I know, that just means that you really love your scale models. And for that I (and all the other dudes) am very thankful.

I tried to take some pictures in the dark and they turned out better than I thought(but I need ti get a better camera):

Hey, you don't have to get a super camera, check AOS's signature. He posted a really good post, where he goes into detail about taking good photos with lesser cameras. You should give that a look when you can.

Also, that Alfa is truly a thing to behold, what a beauty.

If CMC's wern't $100-$200 above my cap, I'd probably have several by now...
Instead I must settle for $200 Sparks and AUTOarts...
I think I'm gonna have to take some pics of my LC2 and WSC-95 today....

No you don't you just need to increase your knowledge in photography and understand your camera better. That will take some time and lots of practice and will allow you to improve.

Buying a Ferrari to replace your Fiat 500 doesn't make you a better driver. Practice does - same applies to photography.

Thank you both, I will look into it and hope to get better as time goes by. But something is strange with my phone-camera, the edges are always red-purple-ish and the other camera at home is my father's old Zenith.

Speaking of the Citroen, have you ever seen Norev's rendition of another French concept, the Alpine A110-50 (IIRC)?

And you got a link to this Alpine? I know Norev made a bunch of various Alpine racers, but I'm not too well versed with which ones they made. This is actually my first Norev...

Yeah, seems they are around $60 USD, though like other Norev race cars it appears to be sealed. I may get it sometime, dunno when though. I would definitely have to do some detailing to those brakes though, they looks pretty... bland...

Interesting tidbit about the brakes, I do agree with that. The calipers should be orange to match the orange stripe (and rim outlines), dunno why are they in grey. But I must say, I really like the way it looks.

And speaking of interesting cars, look what I found while I was searching for scale models of the Citroen Visa:

Again, not my pictures, but I felt like sharing them because it is a very curious car. It's the CX Orphee, and for some reason I really like it.

So...i finally got(was donated a shelf) from my uncle where here used to keep his collection of CMC's and BBR's comes with a laminate protection cover. it can fit alot of models while keeping them dust free...which is all i ever asked for. also has places to set lights. i was going to repaint it but it's in excellent condition and matches my wall.

Iv'e noticed imports from Autoart skyrocketed in Value. i don't know if it's because of the import era or F&F(same really)
Or if it's simply because they're rare and highly collectible. i say this because i remember reading original posts on Diecastexchange, where people were buying Aa original GTR's, S2000,EVO's and STI's online for 20-30 bucks...approximately 6 or so years ago. Now, those same models are trending at 150-250$ And that's just for Aa Performance line cars. So, what happened? i also say this because i just purchased 4 AA imports and the total was immense(excluding the Ignition models). So what gives?

Looking back, i should have bought them while they were cheaper back in the old days, But i was not really on the Aa bandwagon then. Simply because i was just too busy with maistos..which i sold off...about 40 of them, but that's another story And if you know me, you know i love(Worship) imports so oh well.. i'm just kinda shocked at how they've skyrocketed in value. A Mugen integra Type R can go for 400$ now when it was originally just 100$ just for an example.

And right now, a bayside blue GTR R34 sitting on ebay, for 699 us dollars.

Anyway, i always just thought this was interesting. The models came with a regular price, then became way cheaper, then skyrocketed in value, and are continuing to climb.

Jesus, @AMG., just when I thought you couldn't outdo yourself, you bust out a million F40s! Never knew that you could get so many scale versions of one. I know this might be a hassle to answer, but who makes most of them?

Also, the Mazda is really good, but that's to be expected. Since it's an AutoART and all...
