What kind of jobs do you guys have in order to get models like these? Super impressive stuff here.
So it's you behind all this sorcery!!Haha, I am just a lowly flying bus mechanic, nothing special here![]()

For truck lovers (not me) who know about Del Prado, you'll know they do an assorted range of fire trucks in various scales. I was skeptical when a seller told me how much a single one weighed. So I brought some home and I was about ready to flip out that these weren't 1:64. To be sure though I decided to put it up against other models to see how each brand's interpretation on "1:64" compare to each other.
So the weight is to scale then?![]()
That's a good question.
I weighed all 4 of my trucks, all 1:64 scale, and it averaged out to be around 180 grams. So that would be about 11520 grams... or 11.52kg. It would seem these particular trucks had a stage 17 weight reduction done on it. Interesting. Interesting indeed.
Whoa. Who is this @AOS guy? Can he hook me up too? I need some more CM's cars myself.
Unfortunately the Maisto is the only XJ220 in both 1/18 and 1/12. While there are quite a few 1/18 90's supercars around, there are even more in 1/43.I'm working on a supercars of the 90's 1:18/1:12 collection at the moment. Is anybody aware of a Jaguar XJ220 model from anyone other than Maisto?
Tell me @Skython , are those castings good?
Tell me @Skython , are those castings good?
Well, we know that @AMG. is a sentient being, entirely made of money, which allows him to have acess to the best possible stuff.
Well, if you aren't made of money, you sure are very close to that spectrum; all the things you buy hardly look cheap. I mean, you even buy scale model engines, for Christ's sake! Venom doesn't do that, not that I've seen him doing that mind you.
Aaand case in point. The brown One-77, as interesting of a color choice as it is, does stand out a bit too much. Call me silly if you want, but I'd prefer it to be white or red...
Ok so the 300 slr engine was 99 euro and it goes well with the 300SLR model. The big 1:8 Volvo engine was Euro 20.
The Magma Red One 77 I would have very much preferred in transparent red or white but I got it off a fellow collector for a VERY good price.
Yeah I do prefer to have excellent quality and less models than lots of models at lower prices. Not that I treat my collection as an investment but it sure is nice to know the money is not 'wasted' should I ever decide to sell all.
