Hang on just a gosh dern second, aren't those super expensive? I don't have one yet due to obscenely high prices, around the $500-700 area. Also, I didn't know they were available in that color. I'm jealous!

Edit: Well that's just a surprise, it would appear that Spark made a non-dealer version, but only in that color as far as I can tell. I think I'll wait to see what colors GT Spirit make it in.

I actually had pre-ordered it before the GT Spirit was announced lol. I might also get the GTS version, depending on what colors they make.

She's on my must have list but I have to find a European seller, can't really get 1:18 models from US/Japan/Canada/etc... 'cause import duties, taxes and stuffs. This one was cheap, but from a US seller, it's something like 50€ of shipment ALONE.

If you're happy to get your hands dirty, making one is viable. Lots of dress up parts available for the modifying aspect, and far cheaper.

Like buying a model, break off the wheels and make it nice that way? Tips on parts store or eBay?

Oh nah - I'm meaning a build up model. Stuff like Tamiya, Aoshima and others make kits with modifications provided. As for parts, hobby stores and eBay should carry them, as with other model kit sites.

I don't know if you're looking for a product like this or if you're looking for how to modify existing models, but if it's the latter, then just as SVX, mentioned, grab yourself some low-price cheapo model, and buy some 3D-printed or metal wheels, most of these small businesses are in Europe, pray removing wheels isn't difficult with your particular car (because I cannot figure out how some people pull them off so easily), find some way to attach it (because I still don't know how people are doing it typically), post pictures on instagram.

Profit.

I was hoping there was something in the 1/43 size. Those 1/18s take up a lot of space.. I do have a Tamiya 1/24 Nissan 2000 GTR that I got a lot of years ago, never finished it. First try building something. I think I rage quit after I put my gluey finger on the windscreen. Still need a new windscreen from somewhere.

I was actually looking into modifying existing models but maybe give building it myself another try isn't such a bad idea.. And it'll probably take some tries to make a photo of it for insta :p If you know any good websites for 1/24 size please share 👍

Do they charge a ridiculous service fee like Jauce? Jauce charges 8% of however much you bid + 800y; 400 yen for everything after that. You also have to add currency to your account before you can begin bidding, and they charge 8% of however much you add.

No, that sounds insane.

Fee is 5% - if the total sum is less than ¥3,000, then it's ¥150. Then there is also a ¥200 fee for bidding on YAJ.

Bidding is done via credit/debit card. It gets billed to your account when it's been bought.

I loved that track thanks to exposure to it in Forza, but that video is absolutely incredible.
 
Any tips for a nice and clean fix for a lifting decal? :p

btw, just found two kits, the CLK GTR I built around 10 years ago, missing pieces and the decal sheet, the Citroen 2CV is new, maybe I'll start next month

MicroSet, which is used to improve decal adhesion. Microscale, the company that makes it, makes all sorts of modeling supplies, including other solutions to improve the look of waterslide decals.
 
A lifting decal suggests the decal has started to harden or stiffen up. You'll probably want Micro Sol to loosen up its structure (if it's not too late).

If that fails, put the brush down, take a deep breath, curl up and cry yourself to sleep.

waitwaitwait I can use the old CLK GTR as a test mule...that's a great idea!
And nope I'm not rich, this F1 tranche came after the Lancia LC2, bough in February, I try to save as much as I can :lol:
(I just got a 7€ Ferrari and the Starsky&Hutch ford Grand Torino in the meantime)
