My brother gifted me my first Norev model for my birthday and it arrived a few days ago. The 992.1 911 S/T. This is my first "highly" detailed model and it is numbered too. The ultraviolet color on this thing is stunning. The phone picture doesn't do it justice.
Congrats! That S/T is Norev's latest in the 992 range and probably the best yet.
I have that same color, Viola Metallic, on a 992 GT3 (also Norev), it's hard to capture in pictures but it is stunning.

I wanted to buy a whole bunch of stuff with the black Friday sales, wasted probably an hour trying to find out why I couldn't put the order.

Only to find out in the end, Due to trump import tax, they no longer ship to my place...

Damn it, there were 6-7 cars I wanted....

Definitely a Bummer !!

But at least I am saving $400

I guess :(

Yeah the import taxes have greatly reduced my collecting as well, unfortunately. I did order some stuff recently, will post pics once they are in my hands.

lol I think I bought just one model this year. Not because of taxes, but prices across the board just went way up considerably. I just don't think it's worth it anymore.

Celebrating the good news that the Panda is coming back to GT, I just had to share one of my favourite scale models in my possession!

It's a 1/18 scale of a Panda Sisley II from Laudoracing, in it's original Bordeaux Metallic paintjob!

I also have its own canoe accessory you can strap on the roof rack, like this:

(not pictured on mine, still have to show it off properly in my room)

...And probably the canoe would be faster than the car itself lol

Just kidding, very nice scale model you've got there, looks very accurate!

I've literally waited to see the Vectra/Cavalier GSI in 1/18 since I started to collect Bburago in the mid 90s, so as soon as I saw Model Car Group were doing a run of 300 Vauxhall Cavaliers with RHD, I hit preorder. The shop even added the number plate from the Cavalier my dad had back then to add a personal touch.

It's not perfect*, but it is perfect to me for completing a true holy grail. Will sit nicely with the Norev Astra GSI.

*It's the wrong colour, which should have been a burgundy metallic and the taillights are from the facelift minus the black trim strip across the top.

@VXR that is really cool to get a (near) replica of your car/dad's car like that. I've seen some retailers offer custom plates, but I've never done it before.

Grabbed my 9th Porsche 964 from Norev, this one in a color called Signal Green. The shade of green looks better than I expected in person.

I love Signal Green, it's a go-to for me on GT7. I also don't believe there's a single colour that doesn't suit a 964.

That's fantastic, really great that they could add the number plate as well 👍

I went and painted one of my 964s in GT7 to Signal after I got the model 😂

For whatever reason I never paid attention to the color until now, but I love the look. Agree the 964 looks good in any color.

I thought you already had this one

Yes Viola Metallic is also one of my fav, and is hard to capture, but looks so good.

Of the last few dark purple models that I took photos of, I remember bringing the shop lamp very close to the car to ensure the metalflake was distinguishable from the rest.... but as you can probably imagine, the exposure is blown out most of the time.

I came back from Japan last month, and while I wanted to take advantage of the tax-free business, I was already so far out of the hobby I didn't pick up any Ignitions. Average price was about 450CAD.... some select models were being sold for about 29000JPY. It was verrry tempting with currency exchange and tax-free shopping.

There was a grey Subaru 22B, a silver Toyota S800, and some Datsun 240Z all priced under 30000JPY, which is a steal BTW. Just about every other one was priced at least at 35000JPY... Purple R34s at 60000-80000JPY.

This post would've been a lot different had I mustered up the courage to go 8 years ago. Would've been a haul rivaling Venom's

Got these from Costco mostly been buying 1/64 cars.View attachment 1497468

I reckon it was British supermarkets dropping these that contributed to a good 10 years where I didn't collect 1:18. Used to really enjoy going in and adding a £20 Maisto to my collection back in the day. Good honest models. Now I'm not even sure where I could get them in a bricks and mortar shop here. We don't have a Costco in my area.

Same. I've seen them in The Entertainer and a local Norwich toy shop called Langley's. But certainly been a long time since I've seen them in supermarkets.
