looks like a nice collection you have there d12. does anyone have any bburago models? My collection started in 88-89 with a special edition bburago '87 ferrari testorossa. It was in a all red box with the ferarri logo on the top. The car was mounted to a finished wood base. I had lost it in a move between houses and got another one for christmas. I believe it was $20 back then. Looking back, it was an awfully nice model for an 8 year old.

Thanks, I'll take some pics if anyone wants to see them. A few of my models are bburago, the very first one I bought was made by bburago, its a Dodge Viper. They make some of the cheapest models around, but also not bad quality and detail. My favourite model (out of the ones I have) is the Nissan Skyline. Its by AutoArt and the detail is amazing as with all AutoArt models. Next model I would like to buy is a TVR Sagaris, or a Noble (never seen an 1:18th scale Noble).

i was accused of being obsessed on saturday. I suppose i am just obsessed with a good deal and can't stop.

For those of you that are collecting on a tight budget...try ebay. I picked up a 2003-4? mercedes dtm for $20. A lotus elise GT1 for like 25, a '98 porsche GT1 for $20, a BMW v12 LM for $20, and a '03 citronen rally car and a Mitsu evo 8 WRC for 25 a piece....so those cars are out there for a bargain. Check out "Maisto GT" series. they are really nice cars for the price.

I also picked up one of the new cadillac CTS-V SCCA cars driven by andy pilgrim. That car is really nice. I just hate auto arts sealed body cars. however, I just can't boycott like i want too when they have cars like the bently and cadillacs in those versions only.

i found the lotus elise on ebay. there were 2 versions the store had. they had a kinda plain version for some asian airline and i got the pretty bennetton sponsored one.

yeah, the ones on there are cheapo ones i'm sure. I am not familiar with SunStar....so i hope its decent. for 25, its not a big deal either way.

Who makes the one you are looking for? are you the one that posted about it before? i thought i saw that car talked about on here awhile back.
 
It was probably me that talked about it and it is by sunstar I believe. I seriously doubt there's a lot left though. I've been searching for it for a while now. :indiff:
 
are those sun stars nice? I should have mine in a week or so.

I also got one of those new WRC hot wheels cars. I generally don't like hot wheels stuff, but they come with removeable light bar, ice racing tires/wheels, and skid plates. The detail doesn't look to bad for the price. The only thing that really looked disappointing from the pics was under the hood. I will post how these cars are compared to like auto art or others when i get a chance to really check them out.

WOW. :eek: I wonder which company made this model. I've liked Miura since I was a little kid, and I still have a little hotwheel/matchbox/tomica type model of it. Anybody know how much $ this model might cost? :drool:

It's made by AutoArt. It cost me £40. I don't know what you'd pay for it over there.

Awesome! Thanks, daan. :) I have an GT-One model by AutoArt. They do beautiful work. I didn't really want to buy another model, but I think I can make an exception for this. :D

AutoART's coming out with new colors for the Miura in the upcoming months, so unless you like red, orange or yellow, you might want to wait. They're coming out with white/gold sides, red/gold sides, and blue with silver sides. 👍

My girlfriend has a couple 67 Mustang 1:18 scale cast models that I will have to get pics of some time. I have several 1:18 scale and 1:24 scale 69 Camaro cars. But the one that I just got for my birthday really shocked me. It is 1:8 scale. It is huge and it is also a Remote Control car.
 
any of you guys interested in the new daytona prototypes that have ran at the 24hrs of daytona the last couple years. They are powered by a pontiac engine and have been shown on a pontiac commercial.

Anyway, Action has been making some models of these cars. They are okay if you get them for around $50. I recently got a raced version from 2003 or 4, driven by tony stewart/earnhardt junior/andy wallace. It is a really nice model due to the raced after 24 hours look. The citgo decals on the hood are half torn off along with the sandblasted look of the front end. Then along the roof of the car it has black streaks on it that i'm guessing are from rubber.
 
anyone know of a manufacturer that does the Viper GTS-R Concept in 1/18th???

I've got the old RT/10, so all i need are the GTS, SRT, and the above Concept which is top priority.

Oh yeah that one... Thing about my Viper collection is one... if I'd try to collect everything I'd go absolutely insane... so I try to keep it to original colors and rare stuff.. Money helps too. :indiff:

I tried to find my old thread posted in here with the pic but they seemed to have disappeared so I'm gonna have to take new ones.
