👍

well yesterday was the 2007 IPMS Open Glasgow model show.Pretty good weather for it you could say as it was slightly wet so that meant there was more people coming indoors.i thought they might have put a cover over the tables but apprently you have to bring your on so i had a dodgy looking stand again

model list this year was corgi 1/32 Mosquito,Minichamps 1/18 RS4 Avant,Minichamps 1/18 bentley blower and blue train,Biante 1/18 Holden Monaro 427,Torana SLR 5000 and Torana A9X,Classic Carlectables 2006 Ford Falcon bathurst winner and a Custom Autoart Bruce taxis evo 7.

Even though it was mainly a plastic model show(has always been advertised as an open model show though!) there was a fair amount of people there that was said how great it was to see a diecast stand at the show :D and also did meet a fair amount of diecast collectors there. i did in fact have the 3rd biggest plane model at the show  the only 2 that were bigger were a couple of military transport planes which meant the mosquito was getting a huge amount of interest aswell as the 2 bentleys which alot of people didnt know were out yet,In fact one guy spent about 15 minutes trying to get the perfect picture of the blower  and there was boy who was amazed at seeing a ford falcon model cause he had never seen a model of one before. There was a guy that had some amazing models there,on one he had spent 4 years looking for pictures of a digger then designed and built a model kit for it all by looking at pictures,it even had a full interior!

Is the kyosho F40 out in the UK yet?

EDIT: and does anyone know if the elite 288 is worth the ÂŁ43 ebay price?

Nope the KY F40 isnt out in the UK yet that we know of. (swear i answered this before at DH)

I'd buy a good 288GTO for that price, but I'll wait and see if KY do one.

Where then, dont just say it is and then dont give a link to a place that has them. noob.

Thanks for the tips guys, I found a 288 elite for ÂŁ33, but that doesnt include shipping from germany.

Ok, I had got my Kyosho Skyline R32 GT-R, but thanks to Kyosho's quality control I ended up getting a model with a broken headlight. :( Now a replacement is on the way, which I should have on Thursday. I shall get plenty of pics then ;)
Other than that I will most likely try to get a pair of AutoArts next week, a BMW M635CSi and a Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth. :)

Anyone know where I can go to look for an R56 Mini Cooper diecast? I would love to be able to go one that will look just like my car for my desk at work. I've been able to find R50 Coopers and the older Leyland ones as well but no R56's.

try your local mini dealer although i think they are only germany dealer editions just now,ive seen the jcw version and it is lush!

what colour are you looking for and i can try and dig up the part number.

Sparkling Silver Metallic (it's sort of gold) with a black top and black bonnet strips, but I will settle for it without the strips.

The Mini dealer I'm working through only has R50 models and that's all it shows on the Mini USA website as well. Maybe I just need to wait longer for them to make the molds and whatnot, the car has only been out for less then a year in America.

nothing to do with the molds, the 1/18 models have been out since march, only ones i can find in the list are oxygen blue and sparking silver,i have seen the red jcw version too.

might be a case that they are only dealer version in germany(same as whats happened with the b7 rs4),god knows how long till the hobby version comes out

Hmmm maybe there will be a dealer one that shows up on eBay? Oh well it's not like it's a huge deal I have one, I can just wait.

Had this a couple of weeks now, great custom job by Kerry. This car ran unliveryed for 2 trackdays i had went to then for the time attack event they did this livery for it.normally with race cars that there isnt models of and you see a nice livery you do drool over it and wish you had a model of it,but when i see this i was in awe.Admittedly im not an evo fan but this livery suited it down to a T it looked fantastic and i just had to have it! and yes the bruces taxi people know about it now :)

finally after 11ish weeks its here! my Holden HSV GTS-R #0085 of 2190 this model is so much better than previous biante models, dare i say CC level maybe? love the bonnet system on it,it has a properly latch on it so it secures when you push it down and when you want to open it you press a button under it and it pops up like on a real car and then you can lift it :D

The Sierra is awesome just like most other AA Mil editions. But the Panoz's paint is just... wow. In the pics it may look blue, but it goes to purple and green depending on the angle of light.
