Not been around here much recently, but just the other week i finally got onto Studio photography at college. So, of course, i wanted to take some decent pics of one of my favourite models.

surprisingly i just started black & white photography the other week (been offered to do digial too but thats 99% computer based so not sure yet) the pictures look abit too over exposed but i guess thats to highlight the purple in the paint?

Yeah, the purple in the paint is rather elusive, it doesn't seem to show up very well in pictures unless you bathe it in lots of light. I preferred the look of these shots (lit from both sides) over those using just one side-lit flash. I may have over-exposed it a bit, next time i'll know not to trust the college's dodgy light meter!

did they not give you a grey thingy(shows how much i pay attention) to use?

Try using multiple flashes shot through a diffuser (like a sheet of paper).

Both the flashes did have a diffuser on them i think, i suppose the distance between them and the car would make a difference also. Not sure if the college has a third flash stand anywhere, i'll have a look 2moro, might be able to use it somehow.

Thanks for the advice.

Anyone know where I can find a good high quality model of an S4 FC3S RX-7? I've been looking everywhere for a model of my car but to no luck.....

Got a nice little surprise in an Email today from my Dad.

I'll take more pictures when I go home next weekend, but so far I'm really happy with the results. I've been planning to do this for quite some time now so I'm glad it's finally done.

Nice shelving platforms, but dusting is gonna be horrible. lol

Still looks awesome.

Not to worried about the dusting because I don't live there, it's my dad's problem now! hahaha

It's missing another picture of a corvette that goes on the opposite side and I'm going to be rearranging the placement of the cars when I get there.

Getting some nice, not so cold weather for once so I did a photo shoot of several of my yellow mid-engined cars. Would have gotten more pics if the sun was in position for longer...

URL's removed as they were causing viewing issues.

Hope you guys liked the pics :P

You're gonna have to try and find a 1/43 or maybe a good kit of a 1/24. I don't know of any 1:18 FC RX-7's.

I like the plates and that you're putting the Nurb logo on it. Where'd you get those from? :dopey:

made them  the nurb looks dodgey as hell though as i cant find decal paper anyway 👎 was gonna ask kerry(from dh) to run some off for me but he hasnt been about lately.

I really like the R8 in white with those sidepanel out of carbon fiber (or whatever they are). However, it pisses me off so much how bland the "grey/black" interior is. I was planning on getting the white R8 from when i decided I'd get the model, and I did so about a week ago, but I realized the blue R8 has the tan interior, which I feel is a LOT nicer, and I really think I shoulda bought the blue one instead, but white looks killer on it.

Would it really kill Kyosho to stop putting black interiors on their cars? Is it cause it's not a dealer edition model?

Which reminds me, I need to buy one of those dealer E92 M3's, either in red or blue.

i do agree with you about the interior,i was all up for getting a white one cause it looks so stunning and then i seen the all black interior and it put me off it,the tan interior looks 100 times better but i hate dark coloured cars(and wont buy any unless im going for a collection or if theres a story behind it) as it can hide the details and the shape of the car which in the case of sports cars like this is something you dont want.

but then having to scroll back up there was the exterior pictures and i thought sod it and just bought it  really was worth it and dont regret it at all but to be honest i dont think a light car would suit a light interior all that much anyway.

Hey Sting, you seen that BMW Z4 M Coupe from AA at the Nuremberg Toy Show? That thing looks sweet. Nice pics by the way, looks like PMA got the shape of the Omega correct.

Yeh I saw the Z4 Coupe... prob be the racer from the Nurnburgring race

Im going to restart building again soon (after a hiatus of almost 8 years), have quite a few MIB just waiting.
I'll try to post pics soon. 👍
