Slippery slope indeed, Im trying to focus on my Corvette and Aston collection for now, yet I still ordered that E39.

Gotta stop.

Oh you're into corvettes now are you?

Haha you've gotta see this then.

I was browsing around and found an article on an amazing collection.

I just won a dealer edition 1:18 AutoArt BMW M635CSi on eBay. I'll post pictures of it when it arrives, hopefully around the same time as when my Otto M5 shows up.

:ill:

Awesome collection. Its nice that Toyota still remembers that people enjoy cars and not just drive them from point A to B, and were able to put them on display for everyone.

I see youve been on Speedhunters too, top content they got. :)
Otto M5 and some other items arrived in a big box today, pics soon hopefully. :)

Which M5 the E39? I've got my eyes on two M5's at the moment :D

It's like those idiots asking €300 starting bid for a Minichamps BMW M3 GT2. And the art car goes around for up to €800.

Some sellers really need a good slap.

Don't forget the sellers asking $1000+ fot their Martini Exoto 935s

Well, while it is still too much, at least it's made by Exoto. But $800 for a Minichamps?! Hell, even $300 for a Minichamps is at least twice as much as I would ever consider spending on a Minichamps.

Doesn't Ebay have a report button for using misleading information on auctions or something?

I'm really getting annoyed over an Ebay member selling a 1996 Porsche 993 GT1 made by Anson Racing, and then advertises it as the 1996 Le Mans winner and it being very rare.

The fact that people are trying to sell Anson models already annoys me (Haters gonna hate! Get a UT Models made GT1!), but to use false information like that should be an offense that we could report to Ebay.

Yep. Won a Le Mans PS2 game which was (according to seller)

"Good quality disc, manual included, good case, next day shipping 1-2 days"

Got a scratched to oblivion disc, no manual, a massive crack in the plastic and it arrived in 2 weeks.

Needs that report button.

You could've opened a dispute with Ebay when you got it, though. I think you have a 40 or something day window to make one to get your money back if the goods aren't delivered as they were advertised.

I learn this now...

Ok maybe I do.....

Ugh....I hate when people on ebay ask for ridiculous sky high prices...and couple that was ludicrous shipping expenses, Just not even fair, right now someone has the common nismo R tune skyline for 750$ while another guy has buy them both for 250$...which i did, Silver and Red. Great deal.

I agree, and there's so much shill bidding out there that distorts the price.

I just end up using eBay for deals and for things that I really can't find anywhere else.

Always been into them, have an AA C5R, two AA C6R's, a GT3 Z06 from Spark and of course IXOs latest GT2's. :)
Vettes are hard to come by here.

The Silvetstone colored E39. Arrived flawlessly and it's remarkably heavy!

I guess for rare items that you can't find anywhere else, it's either pay the price or live knowing that you won't be owning said item. :indiff:

BTW, how much has anyone spent on a particular rare model?

I'm planning to buy something similar, but the asking price on it is 4 times the original!

So far it's the only one (make that two, phew...) I could find and it already has a watcher so I'm really tempted to do some impulse buying. :scared:

My TME cost me £225 and that is mint with the box mint too. Interestingly there's a damaged one with scratches to the metal and no box currently sitting at £200 with 3 hours to go.

Will be interesting to see what that goes for.

I think I have about 200 Franklin mint and Danbury Mint corvettes. 1/24 scale. They were passed down to me from my grandfather.

Edit: The RedBull x2010 Carbon arrived. But I can't get it out of the box... one of the screws (front one) is stuck tight, and I cant seem to loosen it at all. Anyone have any suggestions?

Oh man that's super cool, talk about Vette' fever. :P

Have you tried the classic dribble of WD40 or do you have one of those variable torque screwdrivers?

If its not coming out with either, Im not sure what else can be done. :(

Hastily napped a couple of pics from my shipment from CK models, ordered 3 LMP cars besides the M5 and they all fit in to a different collection nicely. :)
