The GTP TT Club is set up to be a group for all keen Seasonal event competitors. Whether your a keen competitor or do them for fun, this is the place for you. This thread will be used as a conversation group and share tips and everything.

I will update each seasonal, if you wish to join all you need to do is tell me your GTP ID, PSN ID and your time, followed by your world rank (No cheating). I will also construct a rank table.

I't would be appreciated if you added this thread to your signature, as you will be a GTP TT member, we hope to build a good friendly environment. It would also be great if you shared this group to others.

OP is in progress, i will start taking times at the next seasonal event. If you want to be known as a tuner, tell me upon signing up.

Have fun

Just yesterday I was thinking there should be "TT grinders club" or something in that matter, this seems great. I think I wont be joining since I don't play on this profile, but I'm more than willing to share my ideas and always really keen to learn more! Great job, hope this catches on!!

I think this is a fantastic idea. I've just recently started participating in the regular Season Event's threads here on GTPlanet. Unfortunately, my skills aren't quite up to snuff to be joining something competitive like this. Hopefully one day they will be and I can battle you guys for Top 10 spots on the World Leaderboard.

i suck to mate, i'm just hoping to build a friendly helpful club. All skill levels are wanted and welcomed

Your reason for not joining is the exact reason you should join and it's free.

there's this one thing that's been going on in these TT threats which actually deserves it's own threat, but still here we could share some toughts about it. I'm talking about that wierd glitch wich makes tracktion some how chance, I'm very sceptic about it and to be honest I dont't want to believe in it becouse if there's really this bug I'm gonna play it in offline from now one, I mean the whole game becomes useless if the car and the track dont behave exactly in same manner every time. So I suggest we gather all the evidence we can and make some conclutions.

I dont want to believe it either, but everything points in the direction that it's there. As you know, I've experienced it, and it is not all that easy to spot, and it's incredibly rare. There is a trick to make the seasonal events offline, I'll try that next time it occurs for me. That should solve it if it is the servers that is the problem, however I doubt that...
Also, I think it's more about how the weight transfers, not traction...

I must say i think you are right, i can go onto say, ascari do a half decent laptime go on another day and the car behaves totally differently.
After checking the settings on the car and controller etc nothing has changed but it's like a wheelbarrow, then next time it's all good again.

one thing i find strange. i do an online series. when i practice in someone's lobby i'll do a certain time. i'll open my own and set a PB, but when i join another lobby again, i can never match it even when the lap felt better. (this happens before and after the latest update)

well if this can teach me to drive and understand how things work better and even possibly learn MT only on a wheel that is (well i can i'm just slow) then i'm all ears to anything.........and on the topic of TT's feeling slower or faster i have noticed this too several times first noted it in the subaru super lap....anyways if ya want me to jump on board my id is

lisanorm on both

With regard to weight transfer and it's management, I think that there is a pattern that has flown from the last two TTs to the current ones. The Lexus Nurburgring TT required one to 'push' through the understeer in the car to be in a position to use it's downforce and effective weight transfer was thus a key element, keeping in mind the car's 53:47 weight distribution. On the other hand, the Toyota TSO20 in the Le Mans TT felt a bit easier in terms of being able access the aerodynamic grip that it's downforce provides and also more often than the Lexus. In the current TTs, I think the 2J mirrors the Toyota in terms of it's behavior while the KTM is also a mirror of the Lexus in that one has to push through it's natural tendency, in this case oversteer, in order to access the additional grip that it's downforce can provide. The length of Ascari and it's numerous corners highlight the importance of weight transfer. I was falling in the rankings until I learnt somewhat how to use weight transfer in the KTM to aid in keeping traction. Still a bit more time to find.💡

Great, and this is the way to go! I mean it seems like as important issue as this has been merely a site note on those TT threats even though this thing could actually spoil the whole idea of grinding those TT's and same time perhaps learning something new, I mean if the game doesn't work, me and many other has been banging their heads against the wall over some BUG!

And I really wan't to make clear that my idea is not to make this a debate over who's wrong and who's right, and I admit that this issue involves some emotion for me too since this could mean that my best laps could be just a fluke that some glitch has made possible :dunce: and that's why we must really try look this problem from every possible angel to make sure what's it all about.

And I promise you all, I've been thinking of ways to attack this issue whole day, and It's really complicated since we have to base our study of this matter on individuals experiences and they are obviously different any ways.

And at this point I hope you guys follow me since this is really hard issue and though I speak English pretty good, It's still really hard to make this make any sense :D

And yeah, I'm kinda on the same line whit Mahen N since the way it looks is that this glitch has been experimented on tracks such as nurburgring, ascari and at least I think crank u1 mentioned that he was struggling over same issue on apricot hill and all of these TT's I have grind a lot and it really seems like there's corners where is really easy to loose some time, even thought it had felt like I have done a corner or a set of corners pretty OK, I'm still finding my self loosing to my ghost that .2 secs whit out no apparent reason. I've been just quite sure that I was just a bit off the best possible line, and that just eats the time.

And yeah, let us try to avoid arguing about who's wrong and who's right since I think this issue could be resolved if we just co-operate and share what we think!!

EDIT: And yeah, if someone knows someone who knows thing or two about programming, you should ask that guy how possible it actually is for such bug to exist (actually only thing I know about programming is that anything is possible, but it still be good to ask if there's someone who really knows about these things)

Now for couple of laps on ascari :P

Thats not the point, different cars behave different, and the solution is different, thats normal.
What we are talking about here is that you are able to set a time with ease, and lots of mistakes, so you know you can improve. But when you fire up the game again, the car just feels slow and sluggish, and it feels like the weight is not moving around enough, and you dont get the rotation you need because of it. Then you wait a few hours, or even a day, and it's back to normal. For me, the change was so sutile I did'nt really feel any difference in the cars behavior, but I lost time. It was the Lexus TT at the 'ring, and I lost about 3 tenths on my previous best up until first split at the nordschleife, even when the lap was perfect up until that point. And that sector time was 2 tenths slower than it was supposed to be, because I had done enough laps when the game was fine to see what the optimum time for me at that point was, and I hit that optimum time multiple times before. So I lost 5 tenths even tho I did exactly the same, and that is too much to be because of tiredness or anything. Besides, I was not tired or anything, I just took a break for 2 hours, and was ready to improve, but loosing half a second at just the GP part was too much, I did'nt even manage to improve despite tyring again and again for over 4 hours. In the end I estimate the loss over the entire course to be around 3.5 seconds, but its hard to tell because I did'nt know what my optimum time was.:grumpy:

Interesting, so you're saying the host of the room gets an advantage?
I'm not consistent enough when racing online in a lobby to be able to spot this problem there, I only spot in TT's, and that should tell something about how subtle this bug can be sometimes.:indiff:

edit. You can add me to the list if you want;)

Oh I forgot to mention that I'ts a brilliant idea what you said about how you can play those TT's off line, thought if that indeed is possible, then neither the car or the track doesn't happen online, they are just updated to you console just like that Senna tribute and all that stuff, so the conclusion should be that the servers CAN'T effect on which way the car behaves on any given moment, which should be advisable way to make these TT's work if they want them to be stable.

This thought only bring as to the conclusion that the whole game is glitched and I'll throw the whole damn game out of my house and from now on I spit on to the label PD when I see it!!! :D Ok I'm just joking about that, but do you see my point of how the whole game should be affected by this bug if there is one?
