So far out of 95 original participants, 38 have been Whammed! Wow. Try to keep count of how many times you get Whammed! altogether, inlcluding covers :sly:
 
I got in on the late but I'm still lucky enough since i didn't got whammed..yet!

didn't even hear the Chipmunks cover!

Until I get Whammed! this weekend, that is.


There is a very high chance of it happening to me within the next few days, plus as I'll be meeting friends and family over the next week, so it'll will be much tougher to avoid that song.
 
Christmas party today. Almost whammed! because a classmate apparently have quite and old song in his iPod Shuffle. But the Wham was just paranoia.

So far, still standing.
 
Went to the movies today to see Mission Impossible, I heard some Chipmunks music but no Wham! I'm safe :D
 
Unofficial Participant: Today was the day. We had a staff celebration and someone wanted Christmas music on so one of my collegues stuck in a CD. Guess what came on first...
 
I am pleased to say that I have Whammed at least three other people by autoplaying it in a 'What are you listening to' thread on another forum.

I'm out, heard it a week ago on the school bus, screamed NOOO! then everybody stared at me for a minute. :lol:
 
Whammed!, I am. Currently very angry while hearing it on the radio and my mum singing it...:grumpy:

And now my mum is laughing at my efforts :mad: I might as well go and ban myself now in my frustration. The :mad: smilie is not enough at this point.

I would have guessed. And I thought I was doing well enough avoiding it till now...surviving till the 17th is an OK effort at best though. And to think I hadn't even heard a Christmas song till now! :dunce:

Indeed. Normally listening to Magic and Heart is more dangerous. Kiss is an option but I don't actually know half of the songs they play :lol:

Thats because everyone at our school hates you including the teachers. Thats why you dont trip and nock over garbage cans or yell random statements when ever you want to. :)
 
Balls. Was hoping for another success this year after a Wham-free month last December.

Went into Sainsbury's at 9:30pm last night to buy some food. With nobody around to play music to, they didn't need the radio on over the PA system did they?

Only 16 days this year. Gah. I'm out. :grumpy:
 
For all uk gtp'ers still in this competition, buy groceries at tesco. My local tescos don't even play music. For all Canadians, try buying groceries at Metro. Could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that every Metro I was in didn't play music.

Along the same lines therefore: Don't shop at ASDA. The place is always pumping out Christmas tunes right now. So does the Maccies where I sometimes work. (Which is inside an ASDA by coincidence, but we have separate sound systems for music.)

Avoid the Radio. Except Radios 3, 4 and Classic FM.

Or, if you're in a less financially stable position than me, go to tesco. I hate paying by card for anything. Whenever I do, I always lose track of something.

So far still standing. Went into a restaurant and a cover of Last Christmas was playing. I knew it was a cover, it's too jazzy to be the original.
 
Wow, we're starting to drop like flies. You can tell we're now within the 10-day window of Christmas.
