I too got whammed on the 24th - 8.33 pm local time (GMT+2).
I was visiting my family for christmas and when I entered a room to call my siblings for coffee I instantly heard the words "Last Christmas I gave you my heart" - on the radio.
Listened a bit more to realise it is the original version :ouch: ,
while listening the song for clarification I took a look what my sister was reading.
Bleach vol. 30 (manga) and I notice a sound effect , that read as wham and that gave me a good laugh. :lol:

Few hours later a I heard a cover/original in other room. I'm not sure about if I bit the dust again as the song ended differently/maybe reggae-ishly. (So , possibly whammed again.)

And then for 3rd time today same room , same radio station as on first time Whammed again. :lol:

I'll use this opportunity to say that I really don't like Sarah Millican. She's on TV far too much these days as it is.


Anyway, I've only been Whammed twice this year. I heard it a second time on Christmas day while I was watching that BBC1 show, Lapland. I've also heard 2 different cover versions this year.

Sad. Didn't get whammed. Persistently listened to 80's shows and the oldies channel... but all I got was three plays of the female version and one reggae.

Heard "All I Want for Christmas Is You", however, about 1,000,000 times...

I have a friend that can play "party in the USA " on his guitar, i would never last long. I was just whammed again. I turned on my radio and the first words i hear are: " last christmas i gave you my heart "

I have never heard that song, but I'd be willing to wager that the guitar parts are very simple.

Normally, yes. Go to youtube and search for "Imran Yusuf dating a dinosaur". When I saw that, I laughed so hard, I missed most of the next guys set.

Still in the game. Told a few friends about the contest and they're amazed I made it this far. Have to buy my girlfriend another Christmas present tomorrow as the store I wanted to get her something from was closed at 4PM on christmas eve :banghead:.

Still a little bit of risk involved, but I think I can make it.
