The qualifying times are confidential but as for targets, there's already a good one in the event itself ;)

That's not the problem. The real problem is that I don't have any means of uploading the replays since I don't own a PC.

There is typically a 1-2 week period after an event closes to post replays. Would that give you enough time to load the replay onto a USB stick and next time you're at a mates house you could zip it??
 
For anyone that wants to see how they might have done, last week's event was the AMG Academy Advanced sector 1 (Merc 300SL in the rain).

Here's the results...

Just did the qualifier, found out I can upload the replays from my phone.

In all honesty the only thing stopping me from taking part is the requirment that your PS3 account starts with GTP_(account).

I agree, I to would like to participate but I don't want to make a GTP_ account.. I don't really see why we have to, I think a lot more people would participate if the GTP_ account requirement became optional..
 
You know it will only take you 30 minutes to create the account and level up to enable you to run the qualifier. The current seasonal events have very lucrative XP - a couple of race wins (literally) and you'll be ready to take out the SLS AMG onto the 'Ring.

For those of you that did the DTM seasonal event a couple of weeks ago, this weeks WRS event gives you an opportunity to re-use some of those cars - why not give it a go and see how your times compare?

+1 for easy creation of GTP_ accounts.
I was one of them never qualified for that rule. Also was/is impossible to create psn id with pc browser. I discovered you must do it with PS3 since outage. Too bad nobody answered my question that time :indiff:
Also you can reach lvl 12 for qualification in less than ten minutes with new account. Just buy a kei car and enter seasonal k!!!!

Also is a good opportunity to get some new paints using UCD lists :rolleyes:
 
I might have rushed the qualifier...I did 1h each and submited right away.
Kind of feel stupid because of that, oh well...
 
Well it looks like this little plug for the WRS paid off - we've had a few new racers join the registry and seem to be enjoying it. Nice one guys 👍

There's always room for more - let's see those submissions come flooding in. A place for everyone of every skill level. :)
 
I miss the WRS. I might pop in from time to time. I haven't done the SLS Qualifier though, i still have the tag from Prologue.

By the way, basing on the fact that this is a recruiting thread, im guessing the MODs wouldn't mind creating my own for my WSGTC Series.

It's one of the most competitive series in GTP and the more drivers we get, the merrier (currently have 40+ drivers).

You fellas (WRS) are welcome to come in, too! :cheers:
 
I'll be re-joining shortly. Just need to stop being annoyed with the posting replay method first.
 
Going to try getting registered and leveled up this week. Been dragging my heels on the GTP_* account for a year now.

When I used to run, I only did about 8 week's of event's. About 5 of those week's I was in the top 3 and had to travel to a library to try to post my replay's (didn't work as the library's computer was corrupting the file). As a result more than half of my run's were labeled as such. The WRS was very fun and I love the atmosphere and comradery but the competition side of it was big to me as well. So I left... now I have my own PC so am thinking of a comeback.
 
I put in my time for the qualifier yesterday. Hoping to see soon where I am placed... :D

Nish, you should definately try your hand again, especially as you don't have to re-run the qualifier. Would be good to have you back :)

PS: replay requirements are always for the top 3 in each division, plus random positions as well so even if your are last, there is a chance that a replay will be needed at some point
 
How can all these Online race meets think its reasonable to expect you to HAVE to make a whole new PSN and start gran turismo again from scratch just to participate?

i don't get why you cant just use any PSN ID

First, it's not an online race meet. It's a time trial competition.
Second, you don't have to start Gran Turismo 5 from scratch. You only have to make a new PSN account and do the AMG academy special event intermediate sector 2 and 3 which unlocks at level 12.
 
Just digging this one up from the depths to see if we have any new members who want a go at some TT events GTPlanet style. Friendly atmosphpere, tuning setup help, video tutorials, tips and tricks freely shared. GTP registry members also get access to one of the best organised race series where close and fair racing is guaranteed.
 
I would like to join the series, but would i need to make a new account with GTP in user? Have been playing gt5 with this account for over 2 years :/
