Not to denigrate the idea? You see, I have always been very liberal with the features here on GTPlanet, and until the site grew to the point where I was forced to consider outside funding, I always wanted to give you guys access to as many features as possible. Now that it has reached that point, you guys are already so "spoiled" that it's difficult to find new features that aren't already enjoyed by you guys free of charge (I don't want to take any away from you). If you don't want the new features then don't sign up for them. I'm just doing the best I can here to provide just a little something extra for those who wish to help out.

It's difficult to find "extras" really to give without making the price severely prohibitive. In my case I just don't see the extras as being sufficient to justify signing up - as I said:

"GTPremium seems to be a good idea, but so far I don't see anything too far removed from standard membership to make it worth it. YET. I appreciate though that there is really only a limited number of things you can offer and keep the price accessible as it is."

but I will continue to support the site by buying stuff from your shop. I have a thong in mind for someone as a Christmas present

I like the idea, but the name change thing is not good. They did this on Gunbound (it´s a game I used to play, kind of like Worms online) and it´s a mess. I think that if you gonna let this feature then it should be allowed to change only once per year.

Frankly I could care less about my name in red or any added features for the "pay" account. I am simply glad I can support this site.

I signed up for a month to se ehow it goes, after that I'll determine if I want to signup for the year or go back to a normal user.

Here's an idea for a premium feature, how about the ability to select the color of the name? Besides mod name color, of course. I'm not a real big fan of red 👎

Wow .. all the youngin's here talking about getting their parents to pay for it. I, personally, have only been a member for roughly a month and if I weren't a college student I would definately sign up for the premium membership. This site is unbelievable, Jordan. It's way surpassed my expectations but sadly, I'm broke.

I also second the name change once a calendar year, it will be much easier to keep track of who's posting what for all of us.

I ahve an idea. With premium, you should be able to change for font permantley. This'll let famine be happy so he doesn't have to write [ color=indigo][b ][/b][/color] each time.

This is a nice idea, I'd prefer a name that isn't so big and bold but I would like it red (of course ). I think the premium names look too bulky at the moment and that's one thing I woudn't like. I'm waiting for the new payment methods so I can sign up though!

Also I really don't like this name change thing, I can see so many problems arising.

How much is the yearly payment in New Zealand Dollars? Eeek, $57.35. I think the domain name for the Gran Turismo Series Center should come first.

And some suggestiony things (some taken from this thread) to make it better (but probably harder to programme for).
- Have the username colour being able to be changed every month, not the name itself.
- Have the username being able to be changed every year so that we don't get confused every month - and it will cause less strain to the mods/server or something.
- Ability to show no details/custom titles (in topic view screen), like you can at Gran Turismo X, apart from name?
- Saveable message font/format (which would help Famine out a lot. ).
- A GTP mousepad or something being sent to every yearly subscriber?
- Extra fields to fill in in profile and another extra one in topic view profile detail thingys? (like Car: or Age: )
- Automatic $50 donation from each subscriber which will go towards the "Help get Mustang-man an R32 Skyline GT-R!" fund (a very good cause).
- Something else which i'll think of later...

nice ideas, except for that last one... but why don't we have a profile option with "Car:" for regular members? that seems logical....
