Yeah i payed over a Paypal, then came back here and was already done. Super fast!

I must say to everyone that it is really nice having no ads on the pages, everything looks and runs much better. It is a great idea from Jordan 👍 Maybe a few of Mustang's suggestions being thought about would be nice :)

If i had a credit card (which i'm never going to get sorry as i don't want one) or had some other way to pay for it i definately would, seen as i've been here since these forums were born (i'm not going to mention that i was member #18 as i do that too often ;)).

How much is the yearly payment in New Zealand Dollars? Eeek, $57.35. I think the domain name for the Gran Turismo Series Center should come first.

And some suggestiony things (some taken from this thread) to make it better (but probably harder to programme for).
- Have the username colour being able to be changed every month, not the name itself.
- Have the username being able to be changed every year so that we don't get confused every month - and it will cause less strain to the mods/server or something.
- Ability to show no details/custom titles (in topic view screen), like you can at Gran Turismo X, apart from name?
- Saveable message font/format (which would help Famine out a lot. ;) ).
- A GTP mousepad or something being sent to every yearly subscriber?
- Extra fields to fill in in profile and another extra one in topic view profile detail thingys? (like Car: or Age: )
- Automatic $50 donation from each subscriber which will go towards the "Help get Mustang-man an R32 Skyline GT-R!" fund (a very good cause).
- Something else which i'll think of later...

Apart from that weird R32 one, these are all sterling ideas for potential future implementation to GTPremium.
 
Sweet! Ok, now I'm a premium type person. Next question is ... how did it know to make my account premium? And can I buy premium accounts for other people? How would that be done? And what about automatic renewal?

I'm in! Ad free and it feels good! Even on Broadband everything is quicker. I highly recommend it to everyone that is active on the boards. It'll save you hours in a week.

The extra private message space doesn't hurt either :sly:

Jordan, how about Premium Members get special smilies?

That would be really hard to apply, since anybody can insert any smilie they want as long as it is in our database.

I was going to suggest that he make the "Premium Member" image a link to this thread so people know what it is when they see it in the threads. Maybe round up a few more subscribers.

This thread is really just temporary, so I could go ahead and release the service to the people who really want it. I'm going to set up some "premium pages" to provide more information about the service as soon as I get more time, and then the text will be linked to those pages.

Oh, I see how it is! You just don't like my ideas! :dopey: Just playin. That's cool. It was just a quick thought. Actually, when a forum gets to "smiled up" it can be difficult and annoying to read.
 
Honestly, if I weren't already blocking ads/popups via my firewall and by adblock for firefox, the fact that ads are gone in GTP:Premium would be a very good reason to sign up. Most of the features oftered as of now I feel I would hardly even use either. For now, I'm not signing up unless some more unique features are offered.

Maybe a bundle of goodies included in the price of the annual subscription for new subscribers perhaps? I'd love to have a messanger bag from the store or even a mousepad.

This is really great Jordan I have been thinking about for a long time and even though I'm new I want to show my support for such a great job you have done. Give me about 5 minutes and I should have my pay pal account set up :)

I cannot pay and have not significantly contributed to here in sometime, so I cannot allow myself the honor of the title and services of a Prem member, even if it's free in my case.
 
Hmm, do I already have the features automatically? Apparently I can have a 110x110 avatar now if I want.
 
I think being a moderator gave that avatar option, Talentless.

I don't have much money but if I can find my parents in a rather good mood and we don't have money problems I might ask. Or if I save up enough money I may sign up. I'll just have to figure it all out matematically.

I'm thinking if you can have an option of paying by credit card I would be able to sign up, Jordan. I think this has already been mentioned though.

It is. GoKents isn't a premium member and if you see his profile he has a personal image there. So he must have the avatar option as well.

You don't need a credit card to use Paypal, you can create an account and transfer money directly from your bank account (at least from the US and Canada), check on Paypal's site. Transactions take a few days though (that's why I'm not on GTPremium yet...).
 
I'd like it straight from credit card. I don't want to use PayPal. Just straight credit card.
