I know the award has already been presented, and my late vote on Cristiano may not mean much, but I think Neuer didn't deserve the award for one simple reason: Neuer doesn't have the advantage over the rest of the world's top goalkeepers Cristiano and Messi have over the rest of the world best field players. Their numbers are just astonishing, their quality over the rest is undeniable.

I believe it is unfair to nominate a player on the things he has won. With that said, I believe this was Cristiano's year instead of Messi's, not on the basis of awards won (clearly for Cristiano), but on their playing skill. Still, I believe Messi, in top conditions, slaughters Cristiano in the same form.
