@ugabugaz the Hommell is hopeless at 300HP. You just can't get enough traction with the rear wheels when you step on the gas...200HP the car is lots of fun, still have to mind the throttle a bit more than I'd like, but overall just a blast to drive and should be competitive timewise as well.

My car ran at 262 HP broken in - Tried a low-rpm turbo version at 289, Not much different in handling, about -1.2 secs faster.

I wouldn't go as far as hopeless but it's definitely pushing the limits on how much the car can handle comfortably. Just comparing the car based on itself, I'm comfortable in the way it handles. It can get loose and out of shape if you're not 100% dedicated but for the most part it's fine. Thing is, when you compare it to another 300HP car, like the RX-7, it does feel really rather sad. The tune I have on the Hommell isn't polished (Still good tho, I think) since I just gave up on the car. I just know, regardless of how good I make it, It won't be fast enough.

There is one area I can explore and that is Chassis Reinforcement. However since I only have one Hommell, I can't risk making the car worse than it currently is.

My best result for getting the Hommell in line was with the LSD. I used a setting of 28/9/14. Still think I need to go down on the Accel and perhaps a bit higher on Decel...but it's much better than stock (5/20/10).

I can share my version of the car if you like, It's a lot of fun to drive around, even with low grip

@JC - I fail at tuning AWD - I've never actually tuned one I rarely tune AWDs . LSD concept on AWD eludes me :p

03 legacy wagon. 1400kg stock, you'll be looking around 1250kg or less with stage 2.

Sounds pretty good. I'll check if I have it tomorrow. One question, Which of the 3 is it?

They all understeer. :p

^This.

Or at the very least they DO NOT oversteer. Ever.

Anyway, I'm conflicted on what to enter... I have an NSX that is legal (C30 not a C32) and not terribly lacking in grip but not nearly as sticky as a late-model FD either... It'd be the better drive I reckon (not that an FD is bad, just that I know I can hit Zen status with an NSX like I had with the old R Zero before Spec II ruined it) but slower... I'm not sure if I should go for pure feel and ignore speed for more judging points or just go for something quick. I could do both but I really don't want to wind up having my return tune be a mediocre FD, if I can't make it absolutely amazing I won't bother with one and will go for something either faster or perfect to drive.

I know that first hand, tried everything in the book that I knew to get a 500hp Legacy to slide…it did, just into things, these things often being on the outside wall.

RJ's return tune not being an RX7?! What is this? *flips table* Well, whatever, just don't make it like that Camaro you've shared. And speaking of RX7s…I'll probably need the helping hand of the RX7 expert to get my FC on the right track.

The Premium WRX RA spec '05 handles great, not really understeer, and it can get oversteer on comfort medium even in stock form - often ran it at Nurb GP/F, that could be a good car for the Akina, no ? It weights a lot less than the newer premium WRX, 100kg I think.

If I were you, I'd go for feel instead of sheer speed. Speed won't guarantee you'll make it into the finals. If it feels good, chances are, it can go as fast as the big boys. Personally, I'm more impressed by a tricky car made to handle well than an already good-handling car made to go fast.

Then again, I am not you. So.what you so is up to you.

It is…it damn near beat my Spec C on Akina last night when Rob took it out. Never thought I'd see a car that could beat my Impreza in just round 2…but whatever, just means I'll need to retune for moar speed.

I told you I could get that magic 2:57.xxx, but I had to go before I had the opportunity to get some more good laps in. I'll try later.

My return tune may still be an RX-7, I just can't guarantee it. It has to be better than telepathic for me to be happy with it. As for the Camaro... You don't have enough of a mullet to understand... And the RX-7? Well, I can't guarantee I'll be of any use there either, I've forgotten half of what I thought I knew. Then again that's half the fun.

@RJ one word...Altezza:crazy::lol:

Two words. Send one.

Dead serious.

Well I can guarantee whatever I enter will feel good, it's just a question of whether it'll be an amazing drive and reasonably fast or a good drive and very fast. Or maybe I'll be a bastard and enter something that I take a liking to regardless of whether it's actually any good. Was almost tempted by an Amuse S2000 Street Version just because it's completely useless when untuned but the tuner ban killed that idea.

@RJ :lol:I'll see if I have one in stock...still remember the epic one you and Adrenaline cranked out for the first F.I.T.T. FF shootout considering how it handled on GVS think you might be able to surprise some people on Akina.:lol:

:banghead::dunce:I was thinking of the Atenza you did...not an Altezza...but anyways...which Altezza do you want?
I have AS200 '98, RS200 '98, and Gita AS300 '01 (just one of the last unfortunately:() of course if you want to get totally wacky I also have several Aristo's...:odd:

That's an Atenza not an Altezza. :p I have use for a 1st gen Atenza as well as an Altezza RS200 (the 200hp model). I actually have a few cars that I believe could surprise if we were on PWR regulations rather than horsepower caps as well as one that could surprise if it were legal ('98 Z28 with an actual tune under it, not like the '00 I have on share  )

^ I've got an Altezza RS200 you can have if you can wait a few (i.e. 12) hours. :p

@RJ send me an FR I seem to have removed you from my list after so long without your logging in.

That's basically what I do. Judy take something I like and tune it to the best of my abilities.

Unfortunately many of the cars I would like to give a go in T300 exceed the 3.0liter cap on the class.:(
