Anyone gonna complain if I show up with an Esprit in T300?

It's the '87 Turbo HC so it's legal on displacement. Quite fast in a straight line but it has severe handling issues when untuned; the stock suspension/LSD variant wound up slower around Akina than a T200 MR2 I've been testing by almost a second despite being miles and miles faster in a straight line... However, I think I can handle it and make it something respectable given I shaved 4 seconds off that with just a basic suspension setup with lots more to give.

I'm gonna post my T200 entry when I get home later tonight. It's been a really busy week for me so that's why I have yet to post it. Though, the car is up for share and I'm sure I have all three test drivers on y friends list so y'all can drive it any time.

Hmm…well, I'm almost done, just need to do a small "Reset" for my driving, then try it out one last time to check the first impressions.

Which, hopefully, won't be "ugh…why is this so loose", like RJ had said. If so…then back to the drawing board.

Edit: Final shakedown completed! And ending on a high note, it completely smashes the previous record set in testing with a 3:04.092! Doesn't feel all that bad to drive now either, just don't get too giddy with the car until it warms up a bit.

So I have the Esprit in a very poor state of tune (because I can't get it better, only different) on share... And an R32 that is pretty nice to drive but slow in the garage being worked on... And my RX-7 which still doesn't want to behave...

When's the T300 deadline again? :lol:

It's ages away. Good thing, since we're all so lazy with this whole tuning thing. :lol:
 
I'm not even being all that lazy, I just can't get anything right. The R32 is closest but erm... It's slow. Very slow. It's extremely comfortable with no real vices to the handling (slight understeer on throttle because there isn't enough power for it to rotate easily) but there's just no pace to it.

Funny thing is, I've had my T300 car prepared for about a month, yet I only picked my T200 car last week.. I put the "pro" in "procrastination."
There is a slight possibility that I will pick my current LotS Class B car instead, but they're both N/A FR JDM sports cars. 👍

That's the unfortunate thing about the R32, it's an incredibly fun car when tuned, but there just isn't any pace to the thing competitively speaking. I love the car, but I could never use it in a competition unless it was for fun because I'd lose.
 
So are we going to be seeing some T200 results soon?
I know both Slender and Tak have tested a fair number of them already...want to see how their stacking up so far.:dopey:

If I'm honest, the R32 can be made quite competitive; it's not an NSX/Evora or even an FD RX-7 killer but it's faster than one would expect once the tune is right.

I might just stick with it if I manage to nail the tune down properly... That or grab an R33 for a little bit more... More. It is annoying me a bit that I can't get the FD right though, it seems to either wind up either too loose or too tight under throttle on the S1s... Which is odd because I was perfectly comfortable with it on S3s with another 110hp back in the day.

Probably won't see any results until next week, since our strange botched MR2 just made it in time for the testing, and I've yet to FR Slender since I was pretty worn out after driving the damn thing for miles on end. It's shared though, so if they do it simultaneously, it'll just be down to Mat to finish off the testing.

PSN was still down for me when I left for work. If it's back up when I get home later then I'll definitely be hosting a lobby.
