Oh Snap! LOL I got blinded from each one while typing it. Lemme fix that. I was gonna give it a 99.
:lol:LOL wasn't begging for a score change just wanted to know what I should be looking for with future cars but thanks.

Quite a noticeable gap between Shadow's and Takumi's scores overall, but I think the score and time leaders are becoming clearer. I'm pretty impressed by my car overall. Now for Mat's scores, and we'll have to see who's crowned the reigning monster. 👍

Well if Mat doesn't hate "La Cauchemar" I may actually have a chance to go to the finals on this one.:lol:

I'm quite satisfied with my scores, though I could've benefitted much from running a custom tranny. I chose not to because I wanted to keep the car LotS eligible and the close ratio ones made it understeer and gave more wheel spin on exit than I would like. Maybe I would come back with it for Season 3, of we have one, with a custom tranny as that's the next logical step forward with this car, which has been a labor of love. Also, I like the stock one best in the heat of battle since it gives the car greater poise and controllability.

"Speed isn't everything on the touge, you gotta look cool too." - Tsuchiya.

Guess I didn't do too shabby. I think the car can do a faster sector time, but it's not all about speed. Glad there were good tuning comments, because I can't tune worth a damn. :p

@Tak did you dupe the Hommell and send one to Mat or do I need to send him the one you just sent back to me?
Don't want to use today's send until I know if Mat still needs my car or not.:sly:

So I noticed SolidSnake never actually posted his EG... I'm curious about what sort of setup it's running, especially seeing Rob's DC2 and how it's doing... Perhaps something has changed, perhaps nothing has changed.

I am too. My setup is pretty basic, I literally use those dampers, ARB, and sometimes even LSD settings for just about all of my FF's. The only thing that changes is my real world spring rate, camber, and toe.. I used Spoon springs in this case. It seems to work pretty well.

Actually, my tendency towards front-stiff FWD setups comes from using real-world spring rates... Was snooping around on Tein's site and noticed that the DC2 and a few others have a "Gymkhana Master" coilover set that uses extremely stiff front springs but quite soft rear springs... Tried it on a DC5 I was playing with and haven't really looked back since.

I also usually prefer quite a bit stronger of a differential accel setting. Makes me curious if I've been doing it wrong for a bit or if these two cars could in fact do better.

Ridox2JZGTE – Nissan Silvia S14 Q's Aero '96
Sector time: 0:59.961
My impressions: The second S-Chassis on the Touge today is an S14. After a few turns I noticed this car had great balance & grip, Rotation is just right on this car and I thought it was well tuned.
Although it had some mild understeer mid corner, I still rate this tune highly, Well Tuned 👍
Pros:
- Good Rotaion
- Great Grip and Balance
- Well Tuned
Cons:
- Mild understeer mid corner
My Score: 99/100

I'm glad my NA S14 can get 99 in score :dopey:, thank you for the nice review, I think the mild understeer mid corner can be easily cured with less positive front toe ( +0.05 ). Great time there, really fast.

Ridox2JZGTE – Nissan Silvia S14 Q's Aero '96
Sector time: 35.122
My impressions: Like the S13, this my first time driving a S14 on the Touge. This car has really cornering and the suspension, tire and overall balance is great. It's well tuned. It seems though the cross mission might be a little too much though. Have to use 3rd gear to drift.
Pros:
- Good Rotation
- Great Grip and Balance
- Well Tuned
Cons:
- Gearbox feels little too close
My Score: 92/100

Thanks Tak for the review, quick 2nd sector time, sorry for the gear box, the 5 speed cross mission is a bit too short for the car, I was planning for full custom, but I want something closer to real life tuning :D, can't complain about the score, at least I have more than 90 ... I am a happy man :)

Actually, I have, posted on my thread, the setup I used for Season 1 for my EG. Season 2's entry has improved dampers, inverse ride height from the Eiger setup and most of the tuning efforts went into wheel alignment. I don't remember, but I also may have adjusted the differential's acceleration sensitivity.

Work has kept me a busy man. I really should update my thread this weekend. I must.

@rob
I rarely use the same settings on all my FF's. The most important thing I take into account when tuning FF's is wheelbase. Since that has most impression on the car's tendency to understeer and rotate effectively.

Onboy123 Toyota MR2 Spyder (6MT) ‘02
Sector time: 34.320
My impressions: This MR2 felt pretty good and fun. The car was really fast and the Crossed Mission matches the course well. The ABS somehow kicked in and had a awkward feel. The car has some oversteer but I enjoyed it with bit of drifting. Really like though it's still stable and clocks the FASTEST Time!
Pros:
- Great Acceleration
- Good Rotation
- Good Suspension
- Crossed Mission is perfect!
- Oversteer on some turn transitions but fun for few sections to drift
Cons:
- Felt Stiff
- Braking feel kicks in
My Score: 92/100

Thanks for the test Tak. 👍 The braking issue, well, that would be 6/7 brake bias kicking in whenever you try trail braking in such a small car. And the "feeling stiff" is probably the Accel being a bit low…I'm not sure, actually. Might need to consult RJ on this…

But anyway, good time and thanks again. By the way…next time we get in a lobby together, we're on Akina, or at least, a track that I know, ok?

@Onboy be careful what you ask for...was in a lobby with several of these jokers last night called Touge Mountain tracks or some such...they were running on the ring.
Stepped away from my system for a few minutes to get some food and when I come back they're all running F40s!
Must say was interesting though seeing a half dozen or so of them all chasing around the ring on SH tires.

Sorry, school just got busier than ever and this shootout isn't usually my first priority. I'm reviewing for exams, practicing for school activities, being responsible since I've been grouped with a bunch of airheads, and such. :( I'm really worn out and my head is aching as I type this.

@Mat do you need me to send you my Hommell?

Also are you planning on a four car final again with the winner taking on the season 1 winners or something different?

It's fine if the car is on share. (Not unless Tak sent it. I can't check right now.)

I'm not too sure with how many finalist there'll be. It depends on the final score.

I'll send you the car tomorrow.
Don't use the Hommell I've got shared as it is tuned to 450PP so has more HP/Torque and the transmission was adjusted for the ring...:dopey:

Hey guys, just for a laugh…how about have a "special" battle (special as in extra, not special as in "we used MR2s so therefore we're better") for the three MR2s? Seeing as I only went with the MR2 since I was so determined to keep up with Mat I whipped one out on a whim for this round, I'd want to see how close it gets, though the chances for making into the finals isn't that high.

So yea, selfish request, but whatever, just throwing it out there. :p

I'm thinking of planning the short tournament.

Planning a short tournament for T200 Finalists. Probably gonna do the HV Japan Vol.81 template.

They did it like this:
Battle 1: Ukiya Shokai AE86 Trueno VS. Bandoh Shokai AE86 Trueno(Seeker EG6 refixed as Cam Car)
Winner: Bandoh Shokai(Both Run 1 & 2)
Battle 2: Bandoh Shokai VS. Seeker EG6
Winner: Seeker EG6(Run 1)
Battle 3: Luck MRS Turbo (Toyota Team Europe Version) VS Techno Pro Spirits MR-S(Seeker EG6 as Cam Car)
Winner: Spirits MRS(Run 1 & 2)
Battle 4: Seeker EG6 VS Spirit MR-S
Winner: Seeker EG6(Run 1) & ???/Draw(Run 2)

But Im still thinking of the Maou's part in this. Maybe save the Maou for the last part.

Yea, that's all good and such…but I'm merely suggesting a straight 3 car battle for the MR2s, nothing more. :p
