F40
Ford GT
The GTR is much easer to handle than does two, an maybe even faster.
You can't seriously tell me that the Ford GT and F40 are in the same speed range as those three? Sure it may be harder to drive, but it just means you have to be a better driver to get the most out of it.
The Nissan GTR is faster than the 911 turbo, ford GT and maybe than the F40. The R35 laps the Nordschliefe in 7:38 thats four seconds faster than the 911 turbo and Ford GT.

a normal GT-R R35 has at the very least similar performances to those of the Ford GT and the Ferrari F40?
Where are you getting that from?
That's not what I said at all, if you're going to quote my post partially, at least make it so you don't distort what I said.
Thanks.
I don't buy that F40 claim at all. I'm not an expert, by any means, but an R35 and an F40 driven by a professional driver (i.e. someone able to push both to the limits) in the same conditions. I have real doubts about an R35 keeping up with an F40.
If a gtr r35 can get a better laptime than an f430 around the nurburgring, what makes you think it can't hang with an f40?
but its a 19 year old car don't forget. cars have come on in leaps and bounds since and the F430/R35 are quite significantly faster around a track dispite their heavier weight and similar power.
just head out on one of the twisty tracks with the f40 and then the r35 or f430. Certainly a fair few seconds off the pace.
True to an extent. But alot (not all) of modern 'supercars' are quite watered down really.
Take the McLaren F1 or the Jag XJ220, mega fast cars. And really quite old.

To me, the F40 seems much slower (or the gtr much faster) than it should be. These are from wiki articles:
Ferrari F40:
- 469 @ 7000 rpm, 1100 kg - 426 hp/tonne
- 0-60 mph: 3.2 sec
- 0-100 mph: 7.6 sec
Nissan GT-R
- 473 @ 6400 rpm, 1740 kg - 271 hp/tonne
- 0-60 mph: 3.3-3.8 sec
- 0-100 mph: 13.9 sec
For everyones info the Ferrari F430 will beat a Ferrari F40 on pretty much every track in a race. The F40 was immense for it's time but like so many 20 year old cars it just doesn't cut it when compared to the new stuff. I have no doubts at all that a stock GT-R will beat a stock F40 in a race. There is no reason to think the F40 would win.
I'm willing to bet that the McLaren F1 and Jaguar XJ220 would both get beaten by current cars wityh similar power and even current cars with similar 0-60's and 0-100's. Cornering speeds are so much higher in current cars.
Yea I suppose its all down to the diff' these days.
