It really is a good example of how bad US drivers are about lane control. The number of times I'll come up on someone going under the speed limit in the left (overtake lane) is just mind boggling. And then they get mad if I pass them on the right after a while, even when there is more than enough and then some.

I'll be honest & admit I've ridden passenger in a couple cars here in DFW where the ride ended up like that. As illegal as it is, it is quite a bit of an adrenaline rush. However, it also becomes a real butt clencher when you start getting into heavy traffic & you realize how unaware other drivers can be on the road.:dunce:

Nothing wrong with exceeding the speed limit, but weaving through these tight traffic gaps at speed, as shown in these videos, makes you look like a complete butthead, which is why I don't do it. Change lanes in a calculated, well chiseled manner through a civilized amount of gap between cars, then resume elected travelling speed/re-commence 'driving chores' against inferior challenger and their car.

I certainly don't force wedge my car into gaps as demonstrated at 0:20 in the second video, In my book you shouldn't do anything that would force drivers behind to slow down like they would've (off screen) in that scenario.

Pah, that's elderly driving compared to this:

1.14 = YYYYAAAAAAAAARRRGGGH!

Yeah that's not bad, still a little on the elderly side though...

Those lane changes are weak compared to Ghost Rider, he even toys with the police.

Several of those vids look similar to the stuff that goes on in the UAE. When I've been over in Dubai before I've had a freaking Porsche Cayenne come past like that, and you can watch them over the next mile or so weaving in and out of the traffic and dodging lorries. I'm sure it's fun for the brainless numpties involved but it's only a matter of time before they end up as road pizza and taking innocent people with them.

It's sad but people drive like that all the time in Germany. If anyone's in Germany and wants to see it for himself: pay a visit to the various motorways in the Frankfurt area after 11pm.

The Autobahn in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is bad enough and it's the quietest county in the country! I would both love and hate to see what it like in a much bigger area.

Edit: That second vid. 1:39. Reckless. Absolutely reckless.

You think these guys care? They blew $100,000+ on a single car. They obviously live a rich life, so if they get pulled over who cares? They'll pay their way out. I'd gladly live their life than mine. I'd rather weave in a GTR than one of those Civics that weave through traffic every day.

If they want to waste their money that's their perogative. Personally, I'd relish them writing off their car and throwing away a five figure sum on a supremely tacky blingmobile that they ended up wrapping around a lamp post.

It's the fact that they endanger other people's lives on a public road that is worrying. As another poster mentioned, if they can afford an expensive coffin on wheels, they can afford a track day.

That's probably because most people don't expect some nutjob swerving all over the place in heavy traffic.

Ghost Rider is a nutter. I love the videos of him flying by at 200mph+

It's far more than that. You don't have to be hauling ass to watch people switch lanes without looking or signaling, or become unaware of other vehicles.

Going faster just makes them that much scarier.

I have to agree that there are some around here that don't bother looking and I used to be pretty careless nearly crashing bad, that's when I taught myself to drive safer and more anticipating in heavy trafic which saved my a.. car a few times.

I must say it's quite amusing seeing the guy infront noticing you half way through his lane change, either swerve right and brake hard or mash the throttle.
