We know that Forza Horizon 4 will be the star of racing games at E3 the next month. But I'm curious to know what Poly could offer at E3 to limit the damage.

The only reasons I could imagine any GT presence in Sony’s press conference would be for:

- An esports event or announcement
- New hardware demonstration
- A large DLC or Spec II announcement

Outside of esports I don’t see any of this as very likely, there isn’t much point in displaying a game post-launch at E3. PD and T10 haven’t done anything in the past to “limit damage”, it’s just been game announcements.

Maybe just regular DLC announcement and live tournament in my opinion. Besides, PD is still concentrating on GT World Tour Championship starting this week alongside Nurburgring 24 H race and therefore the event will likely going for couple of month onwards.

The fact they recently put out an update with a new track suggests to me that they won’t be at e3.

To be at e3 they need something big to show off, which would take time and resources.

I see E3 as really two opportunities... to launch a new product... or to try to add free content to save a product that's floundering.

GTS is more like a 'steady as she goes' situation... it sold quite well, it has a discount now and it still has legs so why not just give them the monthly tribute of a track and a few car(s) for the life of the product.

They need to announce something completely unexpected, rather than just the regular stream of cars and tracks. We need new classes like Group A along with Rally Stages, Pikes Peak and maybe even Rallycross type circuits. A GT League Drift Event like Formula D as well as FIA Drift Events so the drifters have something to work for and succeed at. Bringing back seasonal events with unique prizes and rewards, special events like the ones we had in GT4 and GT5; hell even a batch of past original circuits. These are just a few possibilities.

I think even a monumental annoucement like a full blown DLC with half a dozen of the classic tracks wouldnt be all that noteworthy for E3.

Sure it would be fantastic for us but for the general public who watches E3?

I don’t think they’ll announce anything, but if they do I hope it’s 1v1 online/offline racing in virtual reality.

Also, Laguna seca, spa and 3 old school gran turismo tracks would be epic.

I’m so in love with this game.

I'm sorry, but what "Damage"? People's broken expectations for way more content despite being promised nothing more then two cars in April? Seems like their problem considering this was known since March.

There's no damage to limit.

FH is needing a new title given its been two years now since FH3.

FM7 is still going I assume they want to add two mission pack DLCs like last times Nascar and Porsche (maybe? dont know what can replace that).

GTS had a pretty successful run.

I feel that FM7 has lead to Turn10 being on the back foot but even so, the damage to limit is with them.

I think I would go back to 2015/16 E3 where Gran Turismo was noticably absent. I dont remember '17 E3.

GT6 went from Xmas 2013 to June 2015 as far as content goes and up until March this year for online services.

I expect 2yrs of content at least and further than GT6 for online.

Nothing, because there is nothing to show that is of any consequence. Any sort of e-sports announcement is going to go over like a wet fart to pretty much everyone but a select few, and a Spec II announcement is so far out of the question at the moment (completely omitting the fact that the game itself isn't exactly in need of a full tear down like in GT5-6 even with the lack of the content) that really, it's pointless to even speculate.

There will be nothing, and even if there was, it would probably be nothing more then a footnote in a Sony conference.

My guess would be something relating to an upcoming update, or maybe even the reveal & simultaneous launch of an update right there at E3. I don't have too big expectations, especially since I like the monthly updates we've been getting already - hopefully more car packs, tracks, QoL changes, and other features are coming, too.

We'll get a shaft.
