It's German though.
I'll say that Opel electric test car even though that isin't in the game, it's as good a guess as any.
Opel Eco Speedster.
 
Ford Focus ST170? Or what it's called..
 
Ford Focus is German. The only connection to America is the blue oval on the front and back :)

Well unless I've made a big error and the Eco Speedster IS in GTPSP, then there would've been no cars for you to guess, so it never would've looked stupid.
Also, we don't judge answers in here, because it could be anything. :)

I think it was the first guess, if I were you I would switch it to "VW 1100" to seal it.
If it is that then gamerdog should've said "yes", or "close".

Did that car get 110 MPG? I don't think they were that far along back in 1949.

I have not even the slightest amount of an idea.. I'm gonna try with a normal Speedster and Speedster turbo :)

No, that answer did not get me "riled up", I wasn't trying to be aggressive.
And no, those guesses are incorrect.
It was also not the Samba.
 
Ok now I think that you're just screwing with us.
We've gone through every car that is German, under 1500cc, and gets over 110mpg.
(Unless there is one of those ones that is hidden in the depths of the car list, then oops, my apologies.)
