This originally London based band (though one member was South African born) began in the sixties and had several hits but continued into the seventies under a revised but similar name and had several popular albums and a big hit single that had originally been written by Brue Springsteen.
Yep, Manfred Mann circa 1965. "Blinded by the Light" was the Bruce Springsteen penned song they recorded (different line up and called Manfred Mann's Earth Band).

Since we only post small pictures usually, we can post whole pictures in this thread, so long as they are not too big - i.e. below 800 pixels in any dimension... however, working thumbnails like the one you have posted are perfectly OK. (Sometimes people accidentally only post the thumbnail picture itself, rather than a thumbnail which is a working link to the full size image. That shouldn't happen if you use the full link as cut and pasted from Imageshack...)
As for the band, they look familiar, have to think about this one...
