It's not a Saleen and when i mean eight years old, i meant eight years old in the particular championship that it partakes in

Okay, another clue:

The car started as a private entry, has had four world champions during it's tenture (three as a works team and it's current driver), and went on to win 31 races and three world championships, one as a private team.

Quite a big clue I think
 
Well, it's not much of a Works/Private, but the Lola B03/00 is the closest I could find so far - and it's not even close to the picture.

i don't think it will be too long before we get this one, i think you all know it is a rally car but look at the clues I gave
 
  1. the team is new this year but the car is at least eight years old

The Citroën Xsara ran in WRC for the first time in 2001 (Spain), that's 8 years ago, it won 32 races (yeah not 31), and 3 championships with Loeb (2004, 2005, 2006), the last one being as private team Kronos.

It's Petter Solberg's Xsara this year but it was Loeb's Kronos 2006 Xsara

BTW, i counted 31, you might have got 32 from the fact that he 'won' the 2002 Monte but got docked time, or i might have miscounted
