looks to be a holden commodore SS VT series II or something the similar.

I'm fairly sure it's a VX series 1 SS. The VT has a red bar that extends between the rear lights, along the boot. The VY has body coloured panels on the boot, like what I can guess from this example.
The rear wing is series 1, the side skirts and wheels are SS.


Now someone will tell me I'm dreaming.

Commie VX series something. Over here in New Zealand the cops drive Commies. but I notice most of them have the Ecotec V6 engine in them (it says Ecotec V6 on the badge on the front quarter panels).

iv seen some lowered commie clubsports in auckland and hamilton, they have got a chip in them, i think they are getting sick of little boy racers in their evo`s getting away from them, iv run away a few times but only when the circumstance has arisan such as watching illegal drags or if they are coming towards me and they turn around early in the morning, by the time tey turn a round and get up to 120 your gone.

That pic is old an yes it is a VX SS and they also still use the VX SS at some highway petrol stations, like the one in wattle grove. (liverpool) But there heading they also have the VY SS and BA XR8

Well most of the Cop cars are the V6 models, or if there fords the straight 6s but then there the highway-patrol hardcore versions which are XR8s and SSs.
