I was at my brothers house yesterday. He has no end of computer stuff, and within his stuff I found this racing wheel that he bought for his computer. He doesnt use it anymore because he just didnt like it.

It is made by a company called "Guillemot" and it has a Ferrari horse in the centre of the wheel. it has force feedback and a stick shifter as whell as paddle shifters and a few miscellaneous controls on the steering wheel.

Anyways, he bought it for $200.00 Canadian and it is pretty deluxe, on the box it says, "Official Ferrari Licensed Product"

It works very sweet, but I am having trouble getting used to it though.

I use the paddle shifter but the stick shift fels pretty awesome to shift.

The best part is the accuracy that you can rev it with the pedals, it feels like a real car I swear!

Anyways, just thought you might want to know about this alternate wheel. Too bad there aren't any Ferrari's in the game! Whatever.

Does it look like one of these? I've got a wheel on my Christmas list...and so far these models look and sound very cool!

I can't tell the difference between the Force Feedback and the Force Feedback GT but is identical to those ones.

It was $200.00 Canadian, and $60 US is $100 CDN so approx $120 USD I guess.

I find the pedals to be at a weird angle, and you cant operate all of the screens with just the buttons on the wheel so I have to keep the actual PS2 controller nearby.

The paddle shifters rule. but I still use the stick shifter when I am racing a regular car and the paddle shifter when I have a race car (I know I am a loser).

PS If any of you were doubting getting the wheel because it might be too hard to get used too. Dont let that hold you back, after about 2 hours at the wheel, I am about .500 of a second behind my normal lap times, and it is totally second nature.

One thing that is interesting is that when I used the PS2 control I used auto because for some reason I found it awkward to shift, but now I use manual when I drive with the wheel, and as I mentioned my lap times are pretty close. And I assure you, it isnt because some people say manual is faster than auto, IT ISN'T

Wheels rule  I'll never go back to a controller.

I've got a Logitech FF with red grips, and (just to rub it in) a Momo :D

Great post, you answered a lot of my questions. :) After reading on their site a bit, I think the Force Feedback GT is designed with both the PC and the PS2 in mind, while the Force Feedback is only compatable with the PC. The GT model sounds perfect for me, because if I had a wheel for either system, I'd want one for the other - so now I just need one wheel!

The only thing that concerns me is where to put the wheel - I play the game out of my computer chair, with no desk or table in between me and the TV. Perhaps I should also ask for a nice video capture card this Christmas and just play everything on my PC monitor... :D
