I have a confession to make.
I surprisingly enjoy driving the FGT much more than the X1.
Even though I put a lot of hard work into the Carbon Fibre X1, the FGT just feels more fun to drive.
Sure the X1 is the fastest car in the game, but it's just not an enjoyable thing to drive.
The FGT reminds me of old F1.
When racing in the X1, you just blow away the competition, and even in one make races in the X1, the AI are rubbish with it and that makes using it no fun at all.
The FGT on the other hand makes for a fantastic drive.
I'll probably use the X1 for distance endurance races, such as 1000 KM of Suzuka, but the FGT for timed endurance races, such as 4 hours of Nurburgring.
The FGT feels nostalgic, the X1 just feels, too mechanical to love.
Even when the X1 is going at full speed, you don't really get a sensation of speed.
The X1 has so much grip, which makes it an amazing car, but not an amazing drive.
A mistake in the FGT, is more costly than a mistake in an X1.
Too soon on the accelerator in an FGT and you get oversteer, the X1 has so much grip, that this isn't a problem.
