I have a confession to make.
I surprisingly enjoy driving the FGT much more than the X1.
Even though I put a lot of hard work into the Carbon Fibre X1, the FGT just feels more fun to drive.
Sure the X1 is the fastest car in the game, but it's just not an enjoyable thing to drive.
The FGT reminds me of old F1.
When racing in the X1, you just blow away the competition, and even in one make races in the X1, the AI are rubbish with it and that makes using it no fun at all.
The FGT on the other hand makes for a fantastic drive.
I'll probably use the X1 for distance endurance races, such as 1000 KM of Suzuka, but the FGT for timed endurance races, such as 4 hours of Nurburgring.
The FGT feels nostalgic, the X1 just feels, too mechanical to love.
Even when the X1 is going at full speed, you don't really get a sensation of speed.
The X1 has so much grip, which makes it an amazing car, but not an amazing drive.
A mistake in the FGT, is more costly than a mistake in an X1.
Too soon on the accelerator in an FGT and you get oversteer, the X1 has so much grip, that this isn't a problem.

Thank you for reading, please share your thoughts on this.

i feel the same, since i got the X1 its just so ridiculous to drive its not even fun at all. i prefer the FGT mainly because im a huge F1 fan and its fun driving something so insane but still realistic.

Every time I drive the X1, I have to force myself to drive it.
Even showing it off online isn't fun.
Bob has driven the X1 more than me!

I'm the opposite, the X2010 is a blast to drive. Not sure what you mean by not getting a sensation of speed when driving it. I definitely feel it when I'm in it. Amazing car all around.

Confession: My sister-in-law is hot! :guilty:

You have chosen... Poorly

When driving it around Monza for example, the sense of speed just feels, numb or dulled (dunno which one is the correct word).

If you think that 3 minute lap times around the 'ring and 2 minute lap times at Sarthe doesn't give a sense of speed you're an idiot. Learn how to drive the X1 before you hate on it.

I've gotten Gold in the Vettel challenges...
I feel more on the edge in an FGT.
The FGT is harder to drive fast, in an X1, you can make a mistake and be forgiven.

Was going to start a new thread, but thought to myself "Naaah"! Ok, I am a bit tipsy, hence my sister-in-law remark, but yeah. damn!

Anyhow, back on topic. I am sometimes more addicted to GTPlanet than I am to GT5.

That was a confession for those who are not as drunk as I am.

This is my wife and myself..nah, I did not choose poorly. :sly:

BTW, i do not know if this violates any rules posting this picture. If it does I apologize beforehand, and promise to never post again while under the influence.

Lol, @ the pic. What's that white dust all over the place?? :)

As I am an American, living in Peru for the past 4 years.....(5th Amendment), I respectfully choose to not answer that question on the grounds that it may incriminate me.

I also confess that arcade has been more fun than A-spec. I wish that would change though.

Yeah, sorry, back on topic.

What was the question? (kidding),

Guilty Secret. My Bob drives FGT ALOT better than I do.

Ha!

My Bob completed the Gallardo race flawlessly ... I then hopped in the car to run the A-spec version and promptly spun out multiple times. :yuck:
