Really? I liked this one a lot, close enough to the original in my opinion. Some of the cover songs are terrible, Carry on Wayward Son made me laugh at how poorly it was sung.
The only complaint I have (bear in mind I only have the PS2 version at the moment, and I've only played the 360 demo at Best Buy) is that the whammy bar is loose and it hangs down. I don't know if this is how the real controller is, or if it was just broken because it was a demo product. My only other slight gripe is that the neck is thinner than the the PS2 controller, but I'm sure it's easy to adjust to.
Pako: I just saw your sig,![]()
There has been issues with the controller if you look on the xbox forum, I haven't had a problem with it and I just think it's because some people abuse their stuff.
We have been absolutely loving this game. Especially on co-op. I have been playing on medium she has been switching from easy to medium and I think I am getting good enough to start trying expert. Its just so much fun having the stereo cranked in surround sound ripping out song after song with my girlfriend. Its very rewarding when we both finish in the green with over 95%. Especially on some of the extremely fast paced songs that have you just ripping away on the guitar trying not to mess up. The heavy songs are awesome!! It really gives you the feeling that your playing a real guitar at times Because if you mess up you can hear the errors through the surround sound. If I am on left I can hear my left guitar. If its bass I hear the bass. When she is on the right and ripping out solos my left speaker goes silent and she just ripps away. Then as I join back in with bass or rythym the song combines the speakers and the croud cheers in the rear surround sound speakers. Its very exciting and I have even yelled out in excitement when I survived a couple of the surprise tough riffs that they throw at you. I even nailed my first 100% song last night. So is every happy with this game? Surprises, disappointments?
Is the issue the hanging whammy bar? (hahaha) I personally like the design of the 360 controller over that of the PS2 version. The body is slimmer and that makes it more comfortable to strum.
As far as I can tell, yes. I haven't had a problem with mine but like I said I think a lot of it comes from abuse of the controller.
I like the PS2 controller better, the shape of the guitar on the 360 is a little weird since I play sitting down (yes I'm lazy).
